Up for sale is a 1993, Single Owner, Maxima GXE. I bought this car new and have driven it for 17 years. It has low mileage considering the vehicle's age and has many more miles left to go. KBB on the vehicle is $1500 (assuming FAIR condition) and I'm asking $1200 (Buy It Now). I am still driving the vehicle on a daily basis. With the exception of standard vehicle wear and tear items, it has started and run reliably for the entire time I owned it. I have maintenance records going all the way back to when I bought it if you want them. The car has never been wrecked, the paint is in fair condition (faded), and there are two rust areas on either side of the vehicle at the rear door. I have pictured the one that is more severe. The interior of the car is intact with the exception of slight wear on the vinyl covering of the steering wheel. I have a wheel cover on it now. Other than than, there are no rips in the seats or the vinyl, and it includes flawless wood trim that looks as good as the day I bought the car. Carpets/Seats have normal wear and tear and have minor stains, but nothing severe. Disclosure: This vehicle is 17 years old. Is it perfect? No. Although the vehicle is in good working order mechanically (starter, alternator, engine, brakes, etc.), there are several nuisance items that have cropped up over the past few years that can be fixed ... or left alone at your discretion. As part of the sale, I am disclosing every flaw I am aware of in the vehicle. If I haven't listed it as a flaw ... assume it is in basic working order. I'm not looking to make money on this, just get a fair price for the car and be honest about the condition in the process. Items Not Working: Each power window works at the respective door control, but remote control of passenger windows from the driver's master console is intermittent. Power door locks are intermittent. Sometimes you have to use the key to get in. Passenger side key access is not functional. Driver's side only. Radio only tunes AM stations, FM stations are distorted. Antenna mast doesn't fully retract and makes noise when going up/down. A/C works, but is in need of a recharge. I have added one can of refrigerant in the last two years. Sometimes when sitting at stoplights the A/C compressor will stop, and you need to turn A/C off and back on to get it to work again. Thermostat Lever - The Hot/Cold thermostat lever has a mechanical issue that prevents it from fully moving the damper. For the past two seasons, I manually open/close the damper once a season to change it from hot to cold. Both the heat and A/C work, but switching between the two takes about 2 minutes and has to be done once in the winter, and once in the summer. Front End Alignment - The car is in need of an alignment. Nothing major, it just needs to be done because it tends to drift to the right. Slight Oil Leak - Underneath the oil pan area, there is a very slight leak (about 1 drip a day). I never have to add oil to the vehicle between changes, but do notice over time that drips are showing up on the garage floor. This car is ideal for somebody who is a do-it-yourself fixer upper that needs reliable cheap transportation. This particular Maxima was the last year of the body style, and Nissan had worked out all the bugs. It has been a great car for me, and has many years of life left in it if properly cared for.
