This was a single owner car, that I bought for my 70+ mile daily commute, and it has been a blast to drive! Unfortunately the day I got it home my wife informed me that my young daughter would not be allowed to ride in it. So each day has consisted of two commutes, one in the "big" car to drop her off at school, and the other to work in the Insight. The commute has worked out okay like that, but we're moving into a place without room in the garage for the Insight, and I don't want to see it cooked in the Southern California heat. I also have financial reasons I need to sell it ASAP. The car is in good shape and attracts attention. Being a stick shift, it is a bit like driving a Porsche, except one with an electric turbo charger! I have always been impressed with the way Hondas handle, and this one, weighing in at less the 2,000 pounds, is no exception. If you don't know much about these Insights, they are built like race cars. The body, frame, and much of the suspension is aluminum. The batteries are new as of 2009. I would be surprised if the car didn't go another 200,000 miles without any major work. In an effort to try and disclose every detail, I need to mention that although the car looks and drives great, it isn't new. It has a few very minor dents, dings, and scratches. I tried my best to capture them in the pictures. 75MPG!!! I actually got this one day, driving very conservatively, on my round trip 70 mile commute, which takes me through Los Angeles traffic and covers both surface streets and highway driving. This car is amazing. If you ignore MPG and drive over 70 miles an hour, your miles will probably be closer to 60MPG. My average has been about 65MPG. There are also some chips in the paint on the passenger door. The windshield has a small rock chip just under the rear view mirror. It's a beautiful great running car, but I'm selling it as is! Someone asked if the IMA light is on, indicating a problem with the batteries. NO!!! This car has new batteries. I can show you the invoice. The Hybrid systems work great. If you haven't driven one-it's a little like being in the cockpit of the space shuttle with the meters showing you the batteries being charged when you brake, and the assist the electric motor gives you when you step on the gas, and your current and over MPG constantly monitored with LED displays. VERY COOL! The range on this car is around 500 miles. This is simply the most fuel efficient production car on the planet!
