bought on 6/6/2007 for $3500 it was my main vehicle and has made many camping trips within Florida two to Jacksonville [1200 miles round trip] without a breakdown. has been very reliable for me. Bought 1982 VW rabbit diesel pickup 3 months ago w/ 78000 miles on it. no it is not for sale. Bought new sheet metal to repair rust planning to restore this van and sell for $8500 - $9500. I'm a retired garage owner and have restored 5 or 6 cars since retired just to have something to do. I want to go fishing, diving, & tent camping while I still can instead of welding, painting, & bending wrenches. I don't need the money. I rebuilt both carbs, installed new rear torsion bars & bushings, installed rebuilt alternator, master cylinder, vaccume brake booster. has new rear wheel cylinders, brake shoes, parking brake cables, stereo [am/fm/cassette], all light bulbs, headliner, pop top canvas, front brake pads [ front disc brakes ], front wheel bearings, tie rods, tie rod ends, fuel lines [OE], air filter, fuel filter, headlight relay, turn signal flasher, tires water pump for sink, drain valve for water tank, recent plugs, points, wires, uninstalled starter & probably several more items i'm not remembering right now. R/F rotor was turned w/ wheel bearings L/F needs turned noticable brake vibration when brakes applied over 60 mph needs rear wheel alignment not done when rear suspension rebuilt valves a little noisy need adjusted have not had any problems with ethonal fuel starts, runs, & drives great have oil & filter & will change this week will put buyer up for 1 night rest w/ sale in my opinion value is about $3500 as is which is what I paid for it bid away good luck retire someday thanks lyle cell 305 304 4844 On Jun-30-10 at 09:46:23 PDT, seller added the following information:to answer the questions received so far clear florida title changed oil, filter, & adjusted valves, & test drove this morning, it,s ready to go to any of the lower 48 states & Hawai, for Alaska, call M&M auto, Big Pine Key, FL 305 872 4302 for rear wheel alignment Monday if you don't win he'll he won't mind if you don't show up thanks lyleOn Jul-01-10 at 08:34:46 PDT, seller added the following information:checked tire pressure yesterday afternoon might need to use spare [looks good & holds air] or relace rear tires if it is driven over 1000-1500 miles rear tires worn worse than I thought my appollogies if this is not allowed, but Rebel Yellow Transport 972 264 3977 delivered the last one thanks or sorry lyle
