Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1998 R1100RTP with ~61,500 miles. This is an ex Dallas area police bike. New front brake pads, new Michelin Pilot road 2 front and back with ~3.5k miles on them, new fuel filter in tank, new oil sight glass, metal quick disconnects on fuel lines under tank, mirror tethers installed RTP is equipped with a high output alternator, two batteries, crash bars, an empty radio box that is trunk storage, driving lights, an auxiliary fan on the oil radiator for cooling. Also the bike is equipped with GS wire wheels from the factory and adjustable windshield. There are two fuse boxes; the second was for police equipment. There are a few unused switches that were for sirens and lights, but could be used for other purposes. The bike runs well and smooth. I took a 2k trip in April and an 800 mile trip to the Blue Ridge parkway this weekend and had no problems. The centerstand side tang is broken off making it difficult to deploy. There is some oil that needs to be drained from the airbox using the oil drain plug occasionally. While it is typical to have to drain oil from the airbox, it seems like this bike might have a little more than normal. The bike is used and saw police service. That being said, there are plenty of scratches and scrapes. This is not a showroom bike, but it is a solid runner The driving lights and power for my Zumo 550 (not included) are wired to the auxiliary battery. If you have a Zumo 550, I can leave the ball mount base and power wire attached to the bike. I am enjoying this bike, but it is setup for solo touring. I want to purchase a 96 or later GS so that I can do some two up travelling. This bike is sold as is, where is.
