Vehicle Detail

Here we have a very nice 1966 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE T120R. This is a numbers matching bike, serial #DU30882. This motorcycle runs very well and starts most times on the first kick after a little carb tickle. Few drops of oil after a year parked in my garage. Has original JONES rims in outstanding condition. Rear wheel sports stainless steel spokes. Front and rear tires are AVON with about 500 miles on them. This motorcycle has not had a nut & bolt total tear down restoration but it certainly looks as if it was. Way too many guys have used the word restored to describe their bike and they have absolutely no idea what that means. It has been what I would say reconditioned with these improvements: THE GOOD: Top end completely rebuilt with new pistons, valves, springs, guides approx. 500 miles ago. Boyer Bransden electronic ignition New exhaust pipes and header clamps. Has new stanchion tubes, bushes, fork gaitors, gaitor clips, chrome stanchion top nuts. New handle bars New 'P' clamps for handle bars New hand grips New battery New chain about 500 miles ago New rear shocks New fuel lines New front brake cable New rebuilt tachometer. New driver and passenger rubber Seat replaced at time of top end job approx. 500 miles ago. Very nice paint also 500 miles ago, Alaska White and Grenadier Red THE BAD: Headlight rim dented, not horribly, but damaged. I will attempt to get one before auction end. Missing one stainless steel gaitor clip. I will attempt to get one before auction end. Tachometer rebuilt in Canada by Dave Sauerberg who is a master at rebuilding guages that I have ever seen. I do not know the actual mileage of this bike. Correct horn works well. Center stand and side stand are original. The bike was built to ride and not to be a trailer queen but shows extremely well. I am listing this bike for a very good friend who isn't too eBay savvy so if you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will pass along to the owner/seller or I will get you in touch with owner. California title in sellers name and currently in non-op status. Winning bidder pays for and shipping arrangements but I will take to Forward Air for shipping to your nearest Forward Air terminal at no cost to you. I would just ask that you pay for the four tie downs and two locks that are required ( Approx. $25-28). $500 down withinh 24hrs of auction ending and the remainder within 7 days of auction end. Payment to be by cashiers check or personal check which must clear before the bike is shipped or Bank wire transfer. Thank you!!! On Jun-29-10 at 20:47:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Okay, no more questions about the air cleaners. Here's the lowdown regarding the air cleaners. Bill had the cans but no air cleaners to put in them. He wanted to get the bike listed on eBay this past weekend so he just slapped on the short velocity stacks that he had. The air cleaner cans go with the bike and if we're luck enought to get some filter elements before the bike gets shipped off they will also go with the bike. That's the story regarding the air cleaners.
