Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1965 Cadillac Coupe Deville. This was my daily driver for about 2 months. I bought it in Evansville, IN about 3 months ago to restore it but I just don't have the time or money to do it right now. The car starts and runs great, the brakes are good and it drives good. It has a 429 v8 engine. It does overheat. I think the radiator needs to be flushed or it may be the water pump. The title reads 50,728 miles as does the speedometer. The car has more miles than this because the speedometer has stopped working. I'm not sure of the exact mileage. It does have a clear title with no leans on it. It needs a new steering idler arm put on (which I have and will include) because it pulls to the right a little and the alignment place said it needed to be replaced to get a proper alignment. Other than that it runs and drives great. The interior needs to be replaced. I had begun this but haven't had the time to finish it. I have new custom made vinyl seat covers (see last picture) for both the front and back seats they just need to be installed. I also have extra matching material to do the door panels in as well as brand new molded carpet for it. I ordered new panel board so that I could replace the door panels as they are not in good shape. I have all of the old panels but the passenger one has been dismantled so that I could use it for a pattern for the new one. Right now only the front seat is in the car because I had began to remove the interior so that I could replace everything. I do have the back seat as well. I have spent over $1000 on the material and carpet for the interior. It just needs to be installed. All of the power windows work as I replaced the motors on the ones that didn't. I have all of the chrome for the car except for the Deville logo for the passenger side but I don't have the clips to put it all back on. The tires are almost brand new with plenty of tread and I also have the original hub caps. As for the body it is solid the only thing is that the door and rear quarter on the passenger side have bondo in them and it is cracking. It needs to be taken back down to the metal and repaired correctly. I have a passenger door off of a 66 Deville (which will fit) that I will include. The floors and trunk are solid. There is a small hole in the back passenger floor board about the size of a quarter. It is small enough that it can be fixed with All Metal. There is no rust around the hole and the rest of the floors are solid. The back bumper has a dent in it and some surface rust. There is also a little surface rust on the front bumper. I want to buy something that doesn't need as much work and that I can just drive and enjoy. The car is Blitz Black which is a flat finish. With a little time and money this could be an extremely nice car. I've tried to describe everything I could and be honest about the cars condition. Please feel free to email me with any questions or if you'd like me to send you more pictures of the car or if you'd like to see something I don't have pictures of yet. I have more than $5000 invested in the car but my reserve is less than $3000. Please don't ask me what the reserve is because that defeats the whole purpose of the auction. I also have the car listed locally so I have the right to end the auction if it sells. Buyer will be responsible for all taxes and transfer fees. The buyer will also be responsible for picking up or transporting the car. The winning bidder will need to pay a $500 deposit via Paypal within 48 hours of the end of the auction. The balance will be due in cash or certified cashier's check when the car is picked up. Thanks and happy bidding! You never know, I might be interested. I'm mainly looking for a motorcycle but I'm open to hear about anything including nice Gibson guitars. On Jun-27-10 at 13:21:40 PDT, seller added the following information: We just flushed the radiator today and after that it no longer overheats. Did a pressure check as well and all is good. The car can be driven long distances now with no problems.
