1967 Plymouth GTX Belvedere 440 Super Commando You are looking at one of the rarest and most sought after muscle cars of its era. The is a 1967 Plymouth GTX Belvedere. This car has been painstakingly restored for close to 20 years in the garage of a Detroit automotive engineer. Absolutely no expense was spared in finishing this car. I've lived in the Detroit area for 65 years and have never seen one that is close to its equal. I would list all the new parts on this car, but take my word for it...everything you will see in the pictures is new (have gigantic stack of receipts from previous owner that will make your head spin). No creases in new leather...no pits on chrome or trim. No wear in carpet. Has never been driven except on and off my trailer when I bought it...the new redline tires still have the rubber tips on them. Can't put in words how meticulous the previous owner was in putting this thing together. Ready for car shows now. Powered by the legendary 375-bhp 440-cid V-8 Super Commando (completely rebuilt) with the standard three speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Has been converted to run on unleaded gas with hardened valves and valve seats. It has a disk brake conversion on the front with new power booster proportioning valve (cost for this alone was over $1400). Also included in this sale is a GTX high performance fiberglass hood (painted to match car), with trim, and an original set of authentic tube headers that have never been used (see pictures for both of these items).
