Vehicle Detail

For Sale is my highly prized, 1971 Short Bed, Super Cheyenne Pick Up. Most Cheyenne Pick Ups are not the Super Cheyenne Edition with wood trim pkg. and disk brakes. I purchased this truck almost 5 years ago from a local person that used his love for trucks as his past-time. I have purchased 2, 1971 pick up trucks from him over the past few years. He owned this truck approx. 4 years so I have almost 10 years of records/receipts, original operators manual and build sheet. It is easy to see this truck has had an easy life and remains in excellent condition inside, outside and underneath. Exterior and Interior are in show condition and has been shown in several local area car/truck shows receiving high praise and attention. Two years ago I performed a restoration but it did not need much more than new paint of its original Orange and White colors by a local custom paint shop. To confirm its original condition and color, I have several before and after pictures available. There were some rust bubbles under the paint around the windshield and door jambs. Those were cut out with new pieces welded in along with new glass, shocks, tires, heat/AC ducts, battery, water pump, brakes and gas tank. There are absolutly no dents or scratches in the bed and it has a plastic protective insert. The original plastic seat cover was removed showing the black and white houndstooth fabric that is in clean excellent condition. The engine is believed to be the original with 93K miles. Mileage is thought to be accurate, however we are unable to research the early years of the title. I have tried to verify with State Title agencies and Carfax, but they do not go back that far. The 350 cubic inch engine does not appear to have ever been opened up. I thought about an overhaul and engne paint, but since it runs great and does not use oil, I was told, "If it's not broke, don't fix it, original is better". I recently participated a few days in the Hot Rod Power Tour and I normally drive less than 1,000 miles per year. Gas mileage runs 12-14. It goes down the road very quiet, and straight with the greatest of ease without any shakes, rattles or shimmy. It is a real pleasure going down the highway. The AC works great and I topped off with R-12 freon 2 years ago and does not leak. All 4 Goodrich tires have about 3,000 miles with a matching spare never on the ground. In order to keep the original radio look, I have installed a Sony, AM/FM/CD under the seat using remote control for operation. This truck is an excellent, dependable, very sharp truck that will stand compare with much more expensive full restorations. Everything works including the windshield washers, and automatic choke. What does not work is the horn and the original AM/FM radio. Yes, I do have the original steering wheel. It has been our toy truck since my purchase and the previous owner and has not even been rained on for the past 10 years. Even the original paper instructions stickers are still pasted on the rear of the cab. This truck is a real attention getter and I have thoroughly enjoyed this truck. This very unique survivor truck needs nothing and my reason for selling is just to move onto a new project. Last year this truck would have been selling for more than 20-25K, but this year the reserve is very reasonable and much less. $500 deposit will be necessary by the successful bidder within 48 hours of auction end. I will accept cash or cleared check for final delivery. I will assist with nearby delivery or assist with longer distance delivery arrangements. I have 100% Positive feedback and intend to describe everything with 110% accuracy. Ask any questions and/or come for a close inspection before bidding. As additional assurance, if the auction winner arrives and upon close inspection does not feel the truck was not represented accurately and no longer wants the truck, I will return deposit less actual ebay selling fees. You just can't beat that on a 40 year old truck !!! That is how confident I am in this truck. I have numerous additional pictures available showing every detail so bid often and bid with confidence for this high quality and very unique Super Cheyenne Pick Up. Thank you.
