Indiana Barn Find - Kinda. Actually this is my parents Suburban used only by them around the farm, driven to Florida a few times and stored in their family barn for the past 30 years. Never been wrecked or damaged. Never been smoked in. Purchased from Indianapolis dealer. Milage shows 17,550 but must be 117,500. The 5.7 engine and trans were replaced a few years ago. Mom says there is about 30K miles on this eng. and trans. Options are, 31 gallon gas tank, AC and rear AC, electric rear glass operation, and class 1 Trailer hitch. It runs very strong and exterior paint looks nearly new except for the hood. With some rust repair across the front, the paint on the hood does not match well. There are also some rust bubbles under the paint behind the rear tires. (See Pics.) The tires are Bridgestone SF-475 with 80% tread remaining. The interior is in clean and amazing condition except for split on the front passenger seat. Carpets are in great shape and have been completly covered at all times with a plastic that covers 100% of the carpet. Not just floor mats. I have never seen this type carpet covering before. I'll let the new owner remove the carpet coverings if you want. Several receipts are in the glove box including new battery and a lifetime replacment for an alternater. Also included are original operators manual and original order/options card. With a recent oil change, I just drove this Suburban from Indiana to Nashville, TN and can assure you the shocks are great without any bouncing, shakes, rattles or shimmy. Gas mileage was 16 mpg. My parents were farmers and they took excellent care of all their equipment including this Suburban. Recent maintenance include; freon, battery, alternater, tires, carb adjustment, plug wires and fuel filter. It is a great old vehicle, priced very reasonably, but it is 30 years old, so here is the bad news. 1) The AC works great, but has a leak so it needs freon on occassion. 2) On the rear AC, the fan runs but does not cool. 3) It pulls to the right upon braking and I suspect front brakes or alignment are necessary.
