1980 Porsche 924 Targa, all-original, mint-condition. NON-smoker. This vehicle looks and drives excellently. The vehicle has very few paint chips, and has never been in any type of accident. The odometer stopped working about 6 months ago, but I have put very few miles on it since then. The speedometer works normally. Whether you are a collector or want a daily driver, this 924 is in better original condition than 99% of the 924's available today. Exterior The paint has a showroom gloss, but there are a couple of paint chips which are very hard to see. The tires are almost brand new. The car actually looks better in person than it does in the photos. Interior The interior of this 924 is also in outstanding condition. The passenger seats show virtually no wear. The drivers seat is worn but in good shape. The rear hatch cover is intact and works well (see picture). The carpet is in very good condition. The dash has some cracks, but is in good shape, the console is in very good shape. There is no ash in the ashtray, smoke aroma, or burn marks anywhere. Mechanical This car is in good mechanical condition. Absolutely everything on this car works as it should except the odometer which stopped working a 6 months ago and the flasher which the dealer wanted $50 to replace. I am told that it is a $5 item and takes only a couple of minutes to replace. All of the lights and gauges work. It starts immediately, and runs and idles like a new car. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band, and the car is an absolute delight to drive. The 924 has just been serviced. The tires are almost brand new. The timing belt is in good condition. It will be delivered with the floor mats, along with all books and documentation. Alarm System This 924 has the factory equipped alarm system installed which works perfectly. It is turned on and off with a key in the side behind the drivers door (see picture). Also I see you have owners manuals for a 924 Turbo but from what I can see it is not a turbo. Thanks Jun-20-10 A: Some people refer to this as a Targa, but I think you are correct, there was no official Targa. This 924 has the sunroof in it which is extremely large and gives a feeling which is very close to a convertible. The service and owners manuals that came with the 924's were the same for both the normally aspirated and turbo models. These are the original manuals that came with the car. Sorry I had to end my original listing but I tried to add a couple of better pictures and a paragraph about the alarm system and I ended up making huge format changes to the listing that made it almost unreadable. EBAY would not let me undue the changes so I have to delete and relist the item. I hope you understand.
