Vehicle Detail

This is an almost perfect 1991 Mustang GT 5.0 liter convertible with only 18,902 miles. It is dark red (not the orangish red) with a black top and black leather interior. This car is the much sought after RED/BLACK GT convertible! The Automatic transmission shifts smooth. Everything on the car works except the air conditioner needs a Freon conversion or recharge. I noticed yesterday that the air isn’t very cool when the air conditioner is on Max, but the compressor is turning. EVERYTHING on this car is original! (except for the battery) Even the Michelin Z-rated tires are original and don’t have a lot of wear. Look closely at the pictures and you will see the rubber nibs are still intact. That’s because this car has been BABIED BABIED BABIED. It has never seen snow or ice. It was only driven during the summer. It has never been caught in the rain with the top down. During the winter, it has been parked on carpet in a heated garage with a car cover on it. I know… I’m anal about my cars. It even smells like leather inside. The red paint is not faded. I try to always park in the shade. There are a couple flaws to tell you about besides the AC. There are two door dings on the passenger side on the front right quarter panel. The paint is scraped on the door dings, but you can’t see any bare metal or rust. They don’t stand out visibly and I’m sure they could be repaired easily. There is a paint defect on the front of the hood about the size of a quarter. It looks like tiny hairline cracks in the paint. You can only see it if you look very closely. None of the paint has ever been repainted or even touched up. The driver's side floor mat is slightly worn below the gas pedal. These are the original floor mats. The driver's seat leather has an area of surface cracking that is about the size of a deck of cards. It could be dressed up with some type of leather polish, but I never took the time to do it. The rest of the interior is in wonderful shape. All the power windows function properly and the convertible top goes up and down with no problems and is in perfect shape. It also has a black convertible boot cover which has never been used. Everything but the AC is in good working order. It is really clean and just about perfect! I will also include headlight and taillight blackout kits that were made for this car. They give it a different look. I think I paid about 90 bucks for the both kits. This car would be great for a mustang collector or car museum. Driving it and admiring it is almost like taking a trip back in time. I am the original owner of this car and I have a Polaroid picture of it in the showroom. I also have the original window sticker and transaction paperwork. I am afraid I have to sell it because it has too much horsepower for my kids. I don’t want them to “see what it can do” only to have it roll over on top of them. I need something tamer for them, but I am not interested in trading it for a different car, so please don’t ask. I also need more room in my garage. I will work with you on either picking up the car or having it shipped, but all shipping costs are your responsibility. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00 is due by the winning bidder 48 hours after the end of auction and the remaining balance is due 7 days after the end of the auction, or before pickup, whichever comes first. I have set the reserve at a reasonable level. I would be shocked if it didn't sell.
