Vehicle Detail

Let me start off with saying this is a real R/T but it was converted to a convertible with a power top. It was done many years ago using all original parts. They basically took the vert stuff and cut it into this body. Its complete down to the wheel well caps and the vert door latches. I'll gladly explain this further on the phone. I would encourage anyone to inspect the car in person or send me your number and I'll call you to discuss it further. As noted, the Challenger started life as a 383 hardtop with an auto transmission. It currently has a 1969 440, 355 suregrip and 727 trans. I've been through the entire vehicle and rebuilt nearly everything. I have a clear title in my name that matches all the body numbers and the dash vin plate. There's no fender tag or broadcast sheet. Below I'll get into the details and condition of the car. The only thing needed is the top replaced. I might be willing to do this if needed. Interior - The interior has been completly restored with new seat covers, new carpet, new dash pad and restored Rallye gauges. The wiring harness has been gone through and has no issues at. All items work except for the radio which is missing. Everything had either been restore, replaced or been checked out in some way. Drivetrain - The engine is a 440 from 1969. I've been through the engine and did a freshing up. The motor has been resealed and received all new parts such as plugs, wires, belts, hoses ect. The trans works great and needs nothing. Seals were replaced to be sure it wouldn't leak but needed nothing else. I've also rebuilt the rearend and the 3.55 suregrip. All seals, bearing and brakes were replaced including wheel studs. The drivetrain needs nothing. Exterior - The car is an original FE5 Red and currently sits in that color. The paint was recently done to driver condition and would make a great local cruiser. It was done to driver condition so a few things were patched instead of full panel replacement. The two negatives, the truck pan is patched and will need replacement sometime in the future and the driver quarter is fiberglass. The quarter looks fine but I felt I should mention this. Its glass because it was done with the conversion many years ago. The trunk pan will be fine for a driver and years to come but someone looking for a perfect car would have issues with these two items. Please ask questions if you want further details. I should note that the car was from Texas so it required no frame rail or other metal repair. Overall this is a nice sold driver. Other items - The entire brake system was rebuilt with all new caliper, rotors, seals, drums, bearings, lines, brake booster, master cyl ect. The tires have 5 miles and are BF Goodrich Radial TA's. The entire front suspension was rebuild using premium parts. This includes all the rubber bushings, ball joints and tie rod ends. I know there's tons of details I'm leaving off so I'll add them as we go. As mentioned the entire car has been gone through. Please ask any and all questions. The buyer is responsible for shipping the car although I can assist where needed. Send me your number or a request for mine if you wish to chat on the phone. Thanks and good luck bidding ! On Jun-19-10 at 13:41:21 PDT, seller added the following information: A few things to note, the rear leaf springs were just replaced with new Mopar performance ones along with the shackles. The radiator was also re-cored. I have new trunk weatherstrip that I'll install if the buyer wants me to but either way comes with the car. I do have the car listed locally for sale or trade. I'll be adding items to the auction as I remember. Thanks for all the interest !
