1980 Volkswagen Vanagon manual transmission. 94,760 miles. I purchased this van last year with the intention of fixing it up and driving it. The last owner put $1800.00 worth of work into the van and gave up. I towed it home and started it up put it into first gear and drove it up my driveway, parked it and it has been sitting there ever since. I started it and it doesen't want to stay started. I know nothing about air cooled vanagons so I dont even know where to begin fixing it. I was going to get a manual and try to tinker with it but I no longer have the time or the money. body seems to be in pretty nice shape and few dings and dents but nothing major. interior is dirty but not bad, I cleaned it up a bit. all original seats are present with seatbelts. side slider door is extremely hard to shut but will with some effort. all tires are holding air. Buyer to pick up within 1 week of auction end. I would advise you Trailer or Tow it home, as I said I do not know a thing about this van, I don't know if it will get you home.
