It is a 2005 model which is the first year for the 2 spark eliminating the surging found in 2004 and prior years models. Factory options include ABS, heated grips, and expandable BMW hard bags. Everything works but note the outer skin of the right bag is damaged from a tip over in gravel. The bag functions normally and I never replaced the skin because it just didn’t bother me. Extra features include a BMW engine guard and Touratech crash bars added mostly because I like the look. The bike is comfortable to ride with the higher Dakar seat and also comes with the original lower orange seat which is in perfect condition with very few miles on it. Tires are relatively new with no more than 600 miles on the front and about 1,100 miles on the rear. The bike needs nothing, runs and rides well. I would describe the bike as being in excellent condition and what one would expect from a bike having only 10,600 miles on it. Gas mileage is outstanding and keeping the speed around 65 mph, it has provided 70 mpg on three consecutive tanks. Riding more naturally yields a consistent 63 to 65 mpg. I am selling the bike due to advancing age having just reached my 69th year. I am losing confidence in my riding skills to ride the way I like to ride so regretfully it is time to quit.
