For sale very well maintained 1986 Chevy Suburban. This Suburban is a two wheel drive 1500 Silverado. It has a 350 cu. in. engine and automatic transmission with overdrive. I acquired it from my neighbor who is a farmer and who is very meticulous about keeping up his equipment. I bought it because I thought it was a good deal and I still do, but I have since decided that I have to many vehicles and need to sell it. The best part about this Suburban is all the work that's been done to it over the last few years and he only put about 12,000 miles on it. It shows 66,000 miles on the odometer, but the actual miles are 166,000 since it went past 100,000 miles, rolled over and exceeded the mechanical limits. I have only owned it for about 2 months and put maybe 700 miles on it with no problems what so ever. It runs great and everything works on it, Lights, turn signals, cruise control, AC, heat, Gages, Speedometer, odometer, power window, power locks, CD player, washer, wipers Etc.The engine runs great, it has plenty of power and does not smoke or use oil. The transmission shifts smooth, it drives very straight on the road and stops smoothly and quietly. This Suburban is ready to drive anywhere and needs no mechanical repairs and it does have a hitch and brake controller for towing. My neighbor gave me list of everything that was done to it the last few years with dates and the mileage. He bought it 5/1/06 Changed oil and filter + air filter 5/15/06 153,754 mi. ( J+M tire ) New front brakes, changed transmission fluid and filter, new rear end grease, greased suspension, flushed radiator and new antifreeze, new belts and a new dome light switch 6/23/06 154,355 mi.( Chevy dealership) New water pump and hoses 9/7/06 156,225 mi. ( Chevy dealership) Changed oil and filter 10/12/06 156,732 mi New exhaust 12/8/06 157038 mi. (Chevy dealership) New battery +Changed oil and filter 1/12/10 165,411mi. The body and interior are in great shape. It has very little rust, so you can tell it was well cared for. The only places worth noting are behind the rear wheels where there is a small hole behind each of the rear mud flaps. However the rust here has been removed and it has been repainted to stop any further rusting. Also along the bottom edges of the rear doors there was some surface rust removed and it also was repainted. There is no rust on the front doors.There are a couple of rust spots at the bottom edge of the long rear window on the driver’s side. The frame and floor pans are very solid with only a little surface rust here and there. I tried to show all these areas in the photos. There are also a few small scratches, dings and paint blemishes, but nothing that really stands out. As for the interior, the front seat shows a little wear mainly on the drivers side with a couple small holes and the dash has a few age cracks. The rear seat looks really good as do the carpets and the rest of the interior. The tires are still like new because he had two sets of tires one for winter and one for summer so about half of the 12,000 miles was put on the other set.
