The Volvo S-80 T6 Twin Turbo was considered the top-of-the-line vehicle with an original MSRP, with leather, at around $41,500. Volvo touted it as the safest car they'd ever built, and this is coming from the safest manufacturer in the world. This model was designed to compete with BMW and Mercedes, it does a spectacular job. Mine is a beautiful midnight blue, with a luxurious grey leather interior. The dashboard is in excellent condition, including the wood trim. The car runs well, and is fun to drive. Furthermore, the air conditioning is nothing short of superb and ice cold. The few negatives are described forthwith: It has some extremely minor cosmetic imperfections in the interior, as one would expect in a 10 year old car, but certainly no tears in upholstery or anything else one would describe as remotely serious. The automatic transmission has two modes: fully auto and something similar to the Porsche triptronic wherein the driver manually shifts gears clutchlessly. On these vehicles, normal/full automatic mode is preferred. The brakes work just fine, but one of the front rotors has a slight and virtually negligible warp which induces a faint vibration , but only when applying the brake pedal. I wish to be clear that no vibrations or other maladies exist while driving, however. Also, Autozone quoted me a mere $58 for the rotors on this car, so this is far from a big deal whatsoever. Lastly, the right rear window may be 'off the track'. One can hear the motor operate and regulator move, but the window is in a fixed closed position. During our possession of the vehicle, it has never shown a check engine light or displayed any other trouble indicators at all. Furthermore, it has a passing emissions certificate issued 5/10/10 locally, and Nevada has very strict standards. Bluebook retails this vehicle, with this mileage and these options, at $9390 and I've got a buy-it-now for only $6500!
