You are bidding on a 1997 VW Jetta GLS automatic transmission with a 4 cylinder 2.0 liter engine. My wife and I purchased this car brand new from a VW dealership. I have kept nearly all of the service records for this car and will give them to the winning bidder. This car has never been smoked in. It shows signs of normal wear and tear for a car this age and has no rust. A 6 CD changer is installed in the trunk and hardwired to the stereo. The motor runs great and the A/C blows cold. The windows are slightly tinted and I've used sun shades when its parked outside so the interior is in great condition with no fading. There is a couple mechanical issues to note. The biggest problem is that the transmission has recently started to slip slightly, starting in 1st gear and when it shifts from 1st to 2nd and then from 2nd to 3rd. This car is still totally driveable. The second main issue that I'm aware of is the driver's power window won't come down most of the time. It just stays up, not a problem because the air conditioning works great. The window will sometimes start to work for a week or two if the weather is nice. It's a VW, it has a personality. Cosmetically, the small piece of molding on both the passenger side doors are loose (see last photo). If you have further questions or need additional pictures feel free to email me.
