Up for auction is an amazing example of the classic second generation Firebird, a 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am TA 6.6. I purchased this body without engine and transmission, but have since installed a 400 cu inch Pontiac engine alone with a turbo 350 transmission. The car starts and runs you will have to install the exhaust system I never got to that point. From the factory this car was one of the last factory TA 6.6 4spd combinations. In order to bring this vehicle back to perfect condition it will need the floor pans and other rust spots fixed. I have included photos. It has some of the following options: 1. Four wheel disc brakes. 2. WS 6-suspension package 3. Sub frame connectors 4. Traction bars 5. Posi Traction 6. Cassette Player Someone is going to get a fantastic car that is very rare and collectible. There were only a handful of Trans Ams built with the Pontiac 400 engine and the manual transmission option in 1979. I purchase this vehicle with the intention of keeping this car in the family for the future. I am relocating so I must part with many material things I have collected over the years. I love collecting Pontiac cars and parts. So I am parting with this beauty, which is not in perfect condition but is a great start.
