Vehicle Detail
This is my daughter’s Xterra. We have had it about a year and a half (since she turned 16). We caved in and let her have her older sister’s Mustang Convertible when she decided to get rid of it, so we no longer need this one. It has been a great little car for her and we have never had a second’s trouble out of it. We put new tires on it in November and it hasn’t been driven much over two thousand miles since then. She drove it back and forth to school (about 10 miles each way) and that was pretty much it. There really isn’t anything to tell about it as far as flaws go. It is missing one of the little hubcaps (I bet you could get one on E-bay). The driver’s floor mat has some staining and there is a small mark on the passenger seat that appears to be a burn like an ash touched it but it isn’t as big as an ordinary cigarette burn. You can see it in the picture with the owner’s manual. That was there when we bought it. She hasn’t smoked in the car. The grill is a little discolored (like they get with age) but the white paint still looks good. It runs and drives great. The AC cools it very well and the radio and CD work, too. I do want to address the issue of my feedback. It has been perfect until this jerk left me a negative the other day. He bought our old Suburban. His e-bay name is URFUGGED and I guess that’s how it worked out. I agreed to deliver the car to Paris Texas for $50 trying to be nice. It actually cost me more than $60 for the gas. I was gonna be passing through there anyway, so I let my daughter follow me down there in it and it really wasn’t any trouble and he was having a hard time getting up here. He said he’d paypal the $50 delivery fee, and he’d already paid for the car so I just assumed he would. At the last minute my husband wasn’t able to get home in time to sign the title and get it notarized so I had to mail it to him later. After I delivered the car, he never sent the $50. He said he’d mailed a check the day before I e-mailed to ask about it. I knew that probably wasn’t true since the day before was Sunday. I told him I’d mail the title as soon as I got the money and he got irate and said I should just let it go. When I said he had to pay it, he sent it (paypal) and left me the negative feedback. I said in the ad that I’d had the car for a couple of years. I actually only owned it for 23 months. So he said I misrepresented how long I’d owned the car. He also said I misrepresented an ABS problem. We took the car to a mechanic I didn’t know and he put it on the machine and said it was the alternator. We replaced it and the lights came on again so I went to my hometown to a mechanic who I totally trust and he said it was nothing to worry about. The alternator wasn’t as big as the original. “URFUGGED” told me about this problem he’d found when I said I wasn’t willing to let the $50 go. That was the Monday after he picked it up on Saturday. I don’t know how he got it to a mechanic and got the results so quickly and honestly he contradicted himself lots of times in his e-mails so I don’t think he is an honest person. I have sold 4 other cars and quite a few other things on e-bay and nobody else has ever had a problem and I go out of my way to help with delivery, etc. I ask you to please look at my feedback (and the Suburban ad) for yourself. You will not be unhappy with this car. If it isn’t everything I say it is we’ll just cancel the transaction. I am an honest person and to the best of my ability this is a great little car. My reserve is a low $4699. My husband said in light of our last transaction, I should just let the buyer deal with all things shipping, but if I can help make this easier for someone, I am willing to do so. If you're in the Bartlesville, OK area, I'd be glad for you to come and look at it, and if you're in Tulsa, I can meet you somewhere if you'll let me know in advance. If you use the buy-it-now, it will require a $500 paypal deposit and if not I will need a $500 paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction close, unless you will be picking it up within 48 hours, in which case I will accept cash for the whole amount. If you want to ship it, I think there's a DAS in Tulsa and I could drive it over there for $35 gas money. Shipping, of course, would be your expense. I would also pick someone up at the Tulsa airport for the same deal. Call me to talk about other delivery options if you live nearby. I am traveling a lot from here to the Dallas area so we might work something out. I will work it out if I can. Thanks for looking. Please feel free to call with any questions. We purchased the car in Memphis, while living in Forrest City, AR. We moved there from Bartlesville, OK and when we moved we listed our house (about the time the market crashed). After nearly 2 years on the market, we moved back to Oklahoma a few months ago to do some remodeling and continue trying to sell the house while my husband began his new job (living in our camper in Texas). Since our time in Oklahoma is hopefully temporary we haven't changed our phone numbers or gotten new tags on the car. Thanks, Susan On Jun-10-10 at 06:39:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Reserve price has been reduced to $4500. This car is worth much more!
