This is a 1996 Ford Mustang MYSTIC cobra. This coupe has approximately 72900 miles on it. This is a limited edition Ford. In 1996, there were 7496 Mustang Cobra coupes produced. Of those 7496 coupes, 2000 were painted with Mystic Clearcoat Metallic. This is #1457 build of the 2000 vehicles with the Mystic option. The Mystic paint is a 1996-only $815 option available only on the SVT Cobra coupe. This Cobra has a 4.6 liter four-valve V8 with 305 h.p. @ 5800 rpm engine. This engine has more that 100 unique components designed specifically to enhance power and torque for the Cobra model. A two person team hand assembled the engine at Ford's Romeo, Michigan, engine plant and both assemblers affixed their initials to the cam cover. MECHANICAL This car is stock aside from the BBK Cold Air Kit and the off-road pipe. Due to the off-road pipe, the check engine light is on since the computer is looking for the O2 sensors that are not there. I will include the H-pipe w/cats in the sale of the car should you need it to pass emissions. However you will need to purchase new O2 sensors. Car was just inspected on 5-20-10 and is good until 5/2011. COSMETICS Seats are in the condition you would expect for a car with 72800 miles. There are no rips or tears. Original carpet looks great. Drivers side floor mat should be replaced. Paint is in fair condition. Shines, but there are some defects in the clear coat. Also, car was hit on the drivers side door in 2001 when owned by the second owner. (I am the 4th.) When the clear was applied, it sagged around the door handle and the bottom of the door. The bodyman who inspected it said that it can be wet-sanded and buffed to correct. It's been like that for 9 years and the past 2 owners and you really have to look for it to notice it. Passenger side door was also touched up by owner number 2 to correct door chips. There are two small dents (about the size of a quarter). One is on the trunk deck and the other is on the fender. There is a small bubble on the rear bumper (about the size of a quarter) where the clear coat bubbled. SPECIFICS I am selling this car because I have two 1996 Mustang Mystic Cobras. If you were looking for something completely stock, I would be willing to switch out the cold air kit and the off-road pipe for a negotiated price. I'm not looking for any trades as I already have 2 toys and one of them has to go! $500 deposit due within 3 days of purchase.
