Vehicle Detail

1973 Triumph TR-6 Restored by: Archer Classic Cars This is a 1973 Triumph TR-6 convertible with approximately 58K original miles. I have owned this car for the past 12 years. Garage kept, under cover, only used for small trips around town. This dependable car can certainly be driven everyday if you so desire. However, my TR6 was only used for fun drives. NEVER NEVER in the rain. Exterior paint, Java Green is an original TR-6 color which turns heads at every corner. Paint has high luster and in extremely good condition. There are maybe two minor chips or blemishes. If I had a dollar every time someone complimented this car or gave me a thumbs-up tooling down the road I would be a rich man. As you can see by the pictures, the engine compartment is very clean. My favorite thing to do when someone admires the exterior of the car is pop the bonnet and show-off the engine. Many folks who own classic cars hide the engine compartment, I show it off. Original duel stromberg carbs are running perfectly. I have only oiled the carbs, never adjusted a screw to balance because they are always in perfect sync. No rust. Under body clean Rear storage compartment clean, spare tire, all tip top shape. The top was replaced by the previous owner. However there is one small hole (see picture) where the frame elbow rubbed against the top. This never affected me because I was just skipping around the neighborhood on great weather days. Only had the top-up when my wife didn't want her hair tossing about. Photos show the proper michelin red line tires. Practically new tread. Wheels are also correct for TR6 model. Car handles great, exciting to drive. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts smooth. Driving a British sports car is driving as it was meant to be. The interior is in good condition with black bucket seats. The carpet, door panels and mats are excellent condition. The wood dash is original with a few hairline cracks. Overall very nice. The gauges are clear, dash in good condition. As you can see in the photos, I have never installed a radio. Behind the seats, there is plenty of room for storage. Once again, back bench carpet in very good condition. TR-6 comes with a tonneau cover which is in excellent condition. There are only two minor items which required maintenance. I noticed the other night one headlight bulb needs to be replaced. However, high beam works, no big deal. The horn only chirps, so that should be replaced. As compared to other TR-6 cars which list item after item of new parts I have not had this experience. I replaced the alternator, battery, belts, and typical maintenance such as plugs wires, alternator, oil. This car has been extremely mechanically sound. When restored by Archer Classic Cars, they must have done an excellent job!! You will not be disappointed when purchasing this 1973 Triumph TR6. It has provided my family (& hopefully yours) memories that can't be replaced. Serious buyers to contact me directly at murraydo@aol.com with any questions or concerns. I can forward any additional pictures you may require. You (the purchaser) are required to broker all car transportation costs associated with this transaction. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS CAR IS FOR SALE. DON’T BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO PURCHASE AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS.
