Vehicle Detail

This is a top of the line Police Interceptor which means it has all heavy duty parts including radiator, oil cooler, reinforced frame, highway gears for high speed pursuits, heavy duty alternator, 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes, traction control, cruise control, drivers power seat, dual spotlights, power windows, power door locks, power side mirrors, front push bar, single disc CD player, optional center console, and cold air conditioning. Retired King county, Washington state, Sheriff's Dept. Supervisors car. Being bi-fuel means that it has been converted to run on both natural gas (CNG) and gasoline. The conversion cost the state between $6000 to $8000 so it is worth more than kelly blue book or NADA. This is an extremely rare vehicle since Police depts will not usually spring for another 25% of the new cars price to add the conversion. I bought the car when I was living in Salt Lake and had it shipped from Portland. The car needed some work to get it to the excellent shape it is in now, so I used the tax credit on the repairs. It also has the Traction Control option which was not standard for this year. It was a great car when I had a 100 mile commute each day and only paying about 80 cents for a gasoline gallon equivalent for natural gas when everyone else was paying $4 a gallon. The car gets about 22 miles per gallon highway on either gasoline or CNG. People have a tendency to move over when you come up behind them. :) If you are going to use it for a commuter car extended tanks would be a good idea. In the Portland area there is only one refueling station so it does not make sense to keep it. I moved to the Portland area for work so that is where it will need to be shipped from. I will make myself available for the shipping company but cannot deliver. In the 4 years I have owned it I have replaced: Ball Joints and tie rods Battery Tires, two new in the rear and the front are in good shape. Turn signal switch Windshield Axle seal on drivers side and new axle fluid Front hood lift supports Pitman arm assembly Electrical connector for radiator fan new pads and rotors Belt Idler pulley Extreme duty ( interceptor ) shocks front and rear Intake manifold Lower steering shaft I also tracked down the company who made the conversion and got all the original paperwork which would have come with the CNG installation. NW Alternative Fuels did the conversion, The brand of the kit is TechnoCarb, It is a 3600 psi system that will work with 3200 psi fueling, it has two cylinders in the trunk that hold about 4 GGE at 3200 psi,
