Vehicle Detail
1994 Land Rover Discovery SE7 We bought this vehicle with 103,436 miles on it in mid 2003 from a Land Rover Dealer in Grand Rapids, MI to bring our oldest daughter home from the hospital. My wife wanted a safe vehicle (it weighs nearly 3 tons) for our baby. As our family grew we needed to move away from this vehicle and into a mini-van. For the last 18 months it has seen very little operation and was used for towing a trailer to and from Home Depot, so it is time for it to move on. During our ownership we have replaced numerous seals, brakes, exhaust (from forward cat converter back), radiator, air conditioner, fuel pump, rear window seals, rear door hinges, alternator and had the heads taken off, milled and re-installed (this is a characteristic of this motor where it starts to leak directly into the cylander causing the vehicle to overheat). The Cooper Discoverer M+S tires (235/70R16) have nearly no wear. If we were to keep it it needs a new battery, headliner, brakes and I believe some tie rod ends. There are also some surface rust near the drip rail and some rust starting in the rear wheel wells, but considering that it has always been a mid-west vehicle, the body is in great shape. Overall the body is free of any dents with the exception of a "door ding" on the rear door (just above and next to the "Y" in Discovery) when the door wasn't latched and swung against the trailer hitch. Keep in mind that this is a 16 year old Rover, so it leaks at the seals and the electical connections have the usual Rover issues. Hey, it's part of the Land Rover "charm," right? With some home mechanical work this will be a great daily driver or a weekend off-road toy. Please e-mail with questions. I'm selling this with no reserve to reflect that the buyer takes this "as is." Thanks for bidding!
