Vehicle Detail

You're bidding on a real nice 1985 Mercedes "Baby" Benz 190D. This car is in great mechanical condition and comes with a custom build Biodiesel setup that is ready to install. It has a 2.2 liter, 4 cylinder diesel and gets 35+ miles to the gallon. I bought this car a few years back but never found the time to make the biodiesel conversion. It is equipped with a working sunroof, cruise control, and power antenna. The AC works but could use a shot of freon which is R134. There are only a few problems with the car. The major draw back is the cracked windshield. It has spider cracks in the top right corner, but the driver side is clear. All the power windows work except for the right rear. I have replacement switches which could solve the problem. The odometer stopped working back in the fall, but the speedometer still works. I found a replacement speedometer/odometer, but I never installed it. Since I haven't been driving the car very much, I estimate the mileage to be off by 1000 miles. The odmeter in the car reads 135k, and the replacement odometer reads 148k. The paint has minor scratches here and there, but it waxes up real nice. The AMG style wheels do have some flaking chrome, but they clean up well also. The interior is not too bad. The dash pad is cracked, and there are some weird stains on the carpet over the transmission housing which won't come out. Lastly, the car will need tires soon. This car is 25 years old, and like most cars of this vintage, it will need repairs. I encourage only the mechanically inclined to consider bidding on this car. I've made several minor repairs in the few years I've owned it, but it sure is fun to drive. The Biodiesel kit is complete except for hoses and connectors. However, this equipment was custom built by the previous owner, and I can not guarantee the design or construction of the components. Happy bidding.
