1941 Ford Convertible - Blades Rod Shop purchased this car as a project in 2005 and this is the previous owner’s description: This car has new Heidts front crossmember, Mustang II suspension, disc brakes, power rack & pinion steering, Pete & Jake’s motor and trans mounts, stock 305 engine, 350 trans, a Ford 8” rearend, and Posie rear springs and shackles. The engine will come as shown, basically a long block with a 4 barrel intake manifold, water pump, harmonic balancer, and pulley. No radiator. Engine from 50k car. The floors are solid with the exception of the front ‘foot area’ that needs attention. It is very workable. The trunk floor has been replaced with a solid floor from another 41. There was some rust on the car as you would expect. It has been repaired or replaced as needed. At this point I would say only a small percentage still needs attention. If I had to put a number on it I’d say the car is 95% solid. The body is in PPG primer/sealer. It is not ready to paint. It needs to be blocked out and small imperfections smoothed out. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very straight body. I assembled the car to show it’s true potential. The body, doors, hood, and fenders all need to be aligned as with any restoration. I have tried to convey the condition of this car the best I can. Remember it’s a project… but one with a great start and lots of potential. We have a clear title for this car. This is a really good start to a great summer of cruising in the sunshine. This car is sure to put a smile on your face as soon as you hit the streets with it. Heck, I smile just looking at it sitting in the shop. Your cares will blow away as the wind whips through your hair and the sun warms your face.
