*GENERAL CONDITION* I purchased this z28 to drive while restoring a 69 z29, I realized real fast the cash wasnt there to do both. So you have the chance to purchase a RUST FREE TEXAS CAR that runs, drives, and shifts like a new car. Im not kidding I couldnt believe how tight the shifter a trans was the first time I drove it! I started the z28 on the hauler an noticed the car was running rough. After getting it to my shop and checking the compression, I located the rough idle. You guessed it , 4 cylinders were around 100 psi. After pulling the heads I noticed that carbon had built up around the valves and wouldnt let them close, Im telling you all this to tell why I did all the following to this 350 engine. -new 202 valves, and springs -new steal gaskets -New plugs, wires, MSD HEI dist -new 670 street advenger holly w/elect chock -1971 lt1 alum winters intake (cast original and 4v rodchester will also be included) -New fuel pump -new 60 amp Alt, -new gates belts and hose -new LUNATI solid lift cam .485 int 485 ex -new double roller chain and gears As you can see I replaced or had rebuilt every part from the block up.(The block was at perfect standard bore)The block is a CE 0010 4 bolt that was installed by the chey dealer in or around feb of 1974. This means the miles on the engine is less than the odometer. The heads and intake, exhaust manifold are all date coded for the original parts for this car. In a nut shell the block was the only parts changed by warrentyin 74. As you can see I painted and detailed all brackets an deepgrove pullys. I blasted and painted exhaust manifold to look new also. This z28 apears to have the factory ehaust still in tack. * BODY& SHEET METAL* I was please to find that all the panels and fenders are the original an appear to never been removed from this car. The doors open without dropping and close without binding. They also still have the original hinge pins in both doors. The rear window was removed and cleaned to put a new seal, also the rear dash board and seat divider was replaced at this time. I replaced all chrome clips that hold the rear moulding. Please noticed the perfect trunk in this camaro, also the pics show the original spare, jack, jack cover, lug bar, and plate. *INTERIOR* I pulled the near perfect buckets out to install new carpet.I removed the seat slides on both seats to bead blast paint and lube to new condition. The prior owner install a new console and lid.The rare door panels on this z28 are in perfect condition,To the point that I wouldnt pull them off to check for a build sheet. The shoulder belts look to have never been removed from the factory LT holders where they need to stay. The keys to this car open both doors an the trunk like they should. * CONCLUSION* All this camaro needs is a paint job and someone who is ready for lots of looks in this optioned out RS Z28 LT. thanks for your time and email me with any questions about the car. 864/979/2135 mike * running gear* The m21 trans and 373 posi rear both decode and are date coded to match this car, the trans has the vin # of this z28 stamped on the side with the code B for the M21. The trans must be in reverse to remove the keys, an the clutch must be pressed to start the engine. more signs that this is a camaro z28 still in factory form.
