Vehicle Detail

1971 Triumph TR-6 in amazing condition. Bought Last Year and have put less than 500 miles on it. Sick of taking up space and cleaning around it. The car has been stored inside under cover. Only reason for selling is that I just get bored with toys and try to keep up with my wifes shopping habit. Thinking I'm going for a Jeep Rubicon with the cash from this sale. This is an award winning car: British Invasion in Stowe 2003 got 1st place, 1st in Class in Houston, 2004, 1st in Class at the British Invasion 2003 in New York. Below are the notes: The Body: Laurel Green (69-71) Looks like British Racing Green Black Interior in Perfect Condition Burl Wood Dash (not the cheap standard one, look like fine gun stock) Red Pinstripe and Decals Chrome Wire Wheels with Perfect Michelin Redlines, Space is chrome wired also! Comes with an Orignal Triumph Hardtop (1976 Model) that has been restored with new liner Convertible Top is new, with no rips or tears (frame refinished) Robbins reflector strip model Engine Compartment has been fully refinished to look new ( you could eat off the fender wells) Bumpers have been rechromed, Tailights rebuilt Padded Roll Bar Leather Steering wheel Mechanical: No engine modifications Rebuilt Carbs (Micro polished from a 1974) New Pacer exhaust (less than 500 miles) Rebuilt Starter, wiper motor,Alternater,Radiator,Master Cyl.Clutch Slave, rebuilt Transmission, with new clutch, pressure plate. All Suspension Componets have been rebuilt over the last 5 years. (Rear Shock conversion) Heads refitted for unleaded fuel Previous owner said no lower engine work but other docs say a another owner rebuilt the lower. The engine is so perfect I can imagine it not being rebuilt at some point Other Conditions: Car has never seen an accident or rust Under carriage is still showing some of the reddish primer Paint is original from 1971 except front end rock chips and minor scratches, but it still really shines and I don't think anyone would say it "needs a paint job" but that is personal. Noteable defects: See pictures for front hood-small quarter size ding from rock) top deck where hard top was installed has a few scatches, Signal Lights go on and off, Water Temp gauge not working ( have new one) I would say its the best 40 year old car you'll find. Reserve the right to end auction as its for sale locally, Of course anyone that wants to see can come to Gunter TX (40ish miles north of Dallas). You are requested to view and inspect the car before bidding, Serious car, Serious sale, no games.
