We purchased this BEAUTIFUL BMW motorcycle June of last year, there were only 13,705 miles on it when I picked it up. My wife and I started our journey home that afternoon enjoying this VERY nice motorcycle. After several hours of driving we decided to stop for dinner. We were in a small town cruising at a slower speed looking for a place to eat. As we slowed to make a left turn, speed of approximately 10-15 mph we were hit from behind by another vehicle. We already had proceeded into our turn better than 2/3s of the way off the street when the vehicle behind struck the upper portion of the left saddle bag. Two more inches to spare and the vehicle would have missed us. The bike spun out of control throwing my wife from the bike, I stayed with the bike skidding on its side till I was thrown off as it came to rest. The bike skidded approximately 10-15 feet on the right side. The pictures attached will explain and show the damage the bike sustained from the accident. This BMW is a beautiful metallic brown color, and was in excellent condition before the accident. This bike is equipped with the following features: Heated front & rear seats, heated grips, adjustable windscreen, six cd changer, single cd player, reverse gear, standard BMW factory tool kit, self-canceling turn signals, BMW intercom system-CB ready, adjustable seat height, helmet cable lock, two power ports for heated clothing, electronic cruise control, BMW factory alarm system, two key fobs, ABS brake system. Newly added Cee Baileys windshield, both front and rear tires were replaced recently (880 Metzler). New battery was installed the end of 2008. All services to bike were performed just before I purchased it. 15,000 mile Mobile 1 synthetic oil & filter changed approximately 600 miles ago. The next morning after the accident my wife and I rode this bike home another 150 miles without any problems. It drove as though it was never in an accident. It drove so quietly and smoothly. The only difference, it was missing the rear brake pedal and right side mirror. Good thing it had ABS brakes! No head sets are included with this bike. This bike is still in very good mechanical condition with no known concerns other than rear brake pedal damage and ABS light is flashing because of damaged brake system. Motorcycle is being sold with a clear title (not a salvage title). There are NO warranties or implied warranty being offered during or after the sale. Motorcycle is being sold as is condition.
