I purchased this 75 FJ40 from a guy who had it stored in his field behind his house. All I wanted was the frame, so I could start from the frame and do a frame up restoration. I have a 66 FJ45 Wagon that I'm also working on. I have come to realize I will not have time to restore this 75. I was going to break it down in peices and sell the parts off, again no time. I also need to raise money to continue working on my Wagon. The guy I purchased the 75 from was a local and he said it sat in his field for several years. This cruiser is very rusted, and most of the body parts are rusted. The hood, one door, cab and aprons are in good shape. There is a rust hole in the drivers floor. Most of the cruiser is complete. The previous owner said the motor threw a rod and it does not run. All the parts to the motor are there, they are just in the back. The 4 speed transmission and drive train are complete and appear to work. I switched out the tires since the old ones were very weathered. The original ones are in the back. I have a set of 33X12.50 on white spoke rims that I have replaced the original. The tires will get you to where you are going but would not pass Utah State Inspection. The interior is well used and seats are original and need some love. The two jump seat are there, they need to be restored and one of them was welded at one point. Both heaters are there, and I'm not sure if they work. One door is good and the other door needs the bottom replaced. The dash and gas tank are original and I'm not sure if they work. I have owned the cruiser almost a year and have only changed the tires. The front bumper is set up for a winch and it also comes with the tow bar that is set up for a 2' ball. You are not going to drive this across the country but it tows great. All the glass is there and it's not cracked or broken. The shipping is the responsiblity of the highest builder.
