MECHANICAL DESCRIPTION: THIS CAR HAS A SERVICE REPLACEMENT (SR) BLOCK IN IT WITH #12 HEADS. IT HAS A REMANUFACTURED QUADRAJET CARBURATOR. THE ENGINE WAS OVERHAULED ON 8-12-09 WITH THE FOLLOWING: NEW PISTONS, RINGS, ROD BEARINGS, MAIN BEARINGS, CAM BEARINGS, CAMSHAFT LIFTERS, TIMING CHAIN, AND GEARS. NEW OIL PUMP, CORE AND GALLEY PLUGS, GASKETS AND SEALS, ROCKER ARMS AND STUDS, THE BLOCK WAS BORED TO .30 OVER. PRODUCING AN ESTIMATED 345 HP. NEW FUEL PUMP, NEW PLUGS AND WIRES, AND OIL PRESSURE SWITCH. NEW RADIATOR HOSES AND BATTERY. THE ENGINE RUNS SMOOTHLY AND TRANSMISSION IS SHIFT WELL. TRANSMISSION HAS A NEW PAN AND GASKET. THE REAR END IS THE ORIGINAL COX CODED, 12 BOLT 3:55 POSI. INTERIOR CONDITION: BLACK DELUXE INTERIOR. ORIGINAL SEATS DASH AND DOOR PANELS. CENTER CONSOLE ARM REST HAS STARTED CRACKING AND NEEDS REPAIR. BOTH DOOR PANELS HAVE A CRACK IN THE ARMREST PADS. NO CRACKS IN THE DASH PAD. THE TOP OF THE DASH IS SUNFADED A SLIGHT BIT. CARPET APPEARS TO BE NEW. THE SEAT COVERS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. THE PADING UNDERNEATH APPEARS TO BE BROKEN DOWN A BIT.(SEE PHOTOS). COMES WITH A BLACK SET OF CARPETED AFTERMARKET MATS. ALL OF THE GAUGES WORK. THE HEADLINER IS IN GOOD SHAPE. EXTERIOR CONDITION: POLAR WHITE WITH BLUE ACCENTS. THE PAINT IS NOT ORIGINAL AND HAS BEEN REPAINTED. THE PAINT IS ON A SCALE OF ONE TO TEN IS A 6-7. FROM MY EXPERIENCE. THE FLOOR PANS ON THE BOTTOM APPEAR TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE. THERE IS A SLIGHT BIT OF SURFACE RUST ON THE UNDERNEATH NEAR THE GAS TANK, BRAKE DRUMS AND AXELS. COULD USE SOME UNDERCOATING. THE DOORS HAVE A SLIGHT SAG AND RUB THE STRIKER PLATE WHEN YOU CLOSE THEM. DOOR SILLS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. THERE IS A SLIGHT GAP IN THE FRONT WHERE THE HOOD WOULD MEET THE FRONT FACIA. BOTH DOORS NEAR THE FRONT ON THE BOTTOMS ARE STARTING TO BLISTER OR BUBBLE. NEAR THE FRONT WHEEL WELLS THE PAINT IS STARTING TO BLISTER AND TARNISH( SEE PHOTOS). THE REAR DOOR JAMB HAS SOME SURFACE RUST FROM WATER POOLING IN THE CORNERS.(SEE PHOTOS) THE WEATHER STRIPING IS IN LIKE NEW CONDITION. THE TRUNK FLOOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND RUST FREE. THE CAR COMES WITH AN AFTERMARKET SPARE AND JACK. THE TIRES ARE IN LIKE NEW CONDITION. THE DRIVER SIDE WHEELS APPEAR TO BE NEW. THE PASSENGER SIDE HAVE SOME SURFACE RUST IN THE REAR ACCENT PARTS. (SEE PICTURES). OVERALL THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES WELL. THIS IS NOT A MUSEUM PIECE. IT IS AN EXAMPLE FOR A DAILY DRIVER OR A SOLID VEHICLE FOR RESTORATION OR WEEKEND TOY.
