Vehicle Detail
1998 Chevy Silverado 4X4 Extended Cab Z-71 1-owner I bought this truck brand new in 1998 at Hubler Chevrolet in Greenwood, IN. We originally purchased it through our S-Corporation for personal business use, and then liked it so much that we sold it to ourselves, personally, a couple years later. It’s been in our family since new and meticulously maintained and cared for its entire life. This is a one-owner 124K mile truck with plenty of life left and priced to sell. You will not find a cleaner or better example at a rare and very cool black over dark red leather. The body style is now a classic, and this truck offers the following: Black Chevy Silverado Extended Cab Push Button Four Wheel Drive 4x4 5.7L Vortec V-8 3rd Door Extended Cab Auto transmission Z-71 Off-Road Package Dark Red Leather Interior (please note...I used heavy flash to try to take good pictures of the seats. The "cracks" are normal for leather this age. The seat bolsters are in great shape, and in the pictures these seats look much brighter than they are because of the flash. The leather is dark red) Rear bench seat (seats 3 w/seat belts and also folds away) CD/Cassette and top of the line original factory stereo Power everything including power seats Tow Package Professionally installed Viper Alarm and Remote Start w/key fobs, since new (no issues) Professionally installed window tint, since new Built in front/rear radar detector, since new Rhino Liner spray-on bed protector, over the top of the box sides, since new Tail Gate top plate protector, since new Heavy Duty rubber floor mats, since new (carpet is perfect) American Racing 6-spoke chrome wheels and Good Year Wrangler Raised White Outline tires Dual exhaust w/ glass pack mufflers (nice, throaty sound) Stainless Steel Nerf Bars (brand new just installed) Top of the Line Extang Bed Cover (3 built in support rods roll up with the cover, one person can easily roll it up). Bed cover is Velcro attached and has 2 perfect tie down straps when rolled up. There are no mechanical issues, whatsoever, with this truck. I am very picky with my vehicles. In the spirit of full disclosure: Tail Gate latch “ears” stick open. Gate latch probably needs to be taken apart and cleaned. It’s a common problem with Chevy tailgates from this period. Four of the six preset buttons on the radio have burnt out back light bulbs One of the chrome exhaust tips is off (I would get brand new ones, might need tail pipes too) Center Ceiling console has several doors and compartments. One compartment door is missing the plastic tab that keeps it closed. The hood has a 3/4-inch scratch on the top, passenger side. It’s not too bad but worth mentioning. Big rock hit me (see in pic...thanks KY for the question) This truck has seen very little use in the last several years. It’s never been hit, never had any paint work, body has zero rust, was professionally detailed on a regular basis, always garaged until recently, well maintained, and is the cleanest truck you will find. It does not drip oil or leak anything. Four wheel drive works great. Truck runs excellent. No check engine lights or any mechanical issues at all. I installed new shocks last year, and had all of the fuel injectors replaced 3 years ago. The bed cover is also less than 2 years old. You can drive it anywhere. I have a 4-post car lift in my garage. If you like, I’ll put the truck on the lift for your underbody inspection. You will not be disappointed. Truck is in our driveway with a ‘For Sale’ sign and you are welcome to drive by and inspect. We’re located in McCordsville, Indiana on the NE side of Indy close to Geist Lake. Call Bruce @ 317-670-5989 for more info. NOTE: This vehicle is scoring a 94 on the History Report. The truck was never a "fleet vehicle" and I think it says that because we bought it through our corporation in 1998. The "2 owners" designation is from the original sale to our corporation ("Jet Ske Corporation") and then when we purchased it personally from our own corporation. The "Lein" designation is not currently accurate. Years ago we had a lein. But for the last 8 years this truck has been paid off and we have a clean Indiana title in hand. We recently bought a new Cadillac EXT (truck SUV) and have decided to finally sell this Silverado. This truck is a family treasure and has been treated as such. The boy in the picture is our oldest son Alex, who was born in 1998 and the main reason we bought this truck (needed a place for a baby). Now Alex is almost 12 years old… $500 Pay Pal deposit due 24 hours after the auction ends. Balance due in cash when you pick it up. Email or call and we’ll work out the details for picking up the truck. We will be flexible, especially if you’re coming from out of town so no worries. If you win the auction, pay the deposit, and come see this truck and it’s not exactly as I described or you don’t love it? I will refund your deposit less the listing fee and you can walk away. Thanks for looking! Bruce
