This is one of the most beautiful totally original survivor quality 1972 Chevy pickups in the world. I have never had one this new and untouched and I have been driving since 1975. The truck has 100% factory paint and markings and it is as perfect as GM built it back in the spring of 1972. Was bought by a single older gentleman in 72 to pull a small camping trailer to the lake and parked inside his building all the other months of the year. There is not one hail dent or door ding on it and the paint is not worn or flaking anywhere. The paint is just gorgeous as the day it rolled out of the Flint plant of GM in 1972. The only non factory hole drilled was to mount a camper shell to protect the perfect bed and that made four1/4" holes down each top of bed rail. There is also a receiver hitch bolted to existing holes below I believe but was not welded on anywhere .There is no chips or road rash on the glass or grille and it of course is all the original tinted factory LOF script glass. Original Power Beam script headlights liek NOS not cloudy. The jack and all the jack handles/wrench and bag have never been moved from the factory. You can see plastic wrapping on the tools and the nice tied cellaphane bag in the corner. This was a factory ordered Highlander packaged Custom Deluxe with factory air, factory tilt column (even pointer is perfect condition) power steering and brakes, full gauges, factory rear chrome bumper. I will include a picture of the glove box label for option list. This truck was used through the early 90's to go fishing camping trips in Iowa and then put away all other times and another vehicle used for transportation. I can't even start to describe how original and perfect this truck is and I have not touched one thing to detail or touch up with the exception of adding some 235/85/R16 radials on steel wheels. The original Firestone 7.50 16LT front and Uniroyal traction lug tires with split rims will also come with truck. They look next to new. It still has it's factory installed GM exhaust system all the way but it is surface rusting and will need replaced to be show. It drives like a band new pickup with the shifter, keys, handles, buttons, regulators,etc, and all in such factory new condition. Even had the original wiper blades and arms and of course owners manual pack. I would drive this home anywhere in the USA as I recently serviced it out and it starts, runs and drives perfectly especially at highway speeds. The air conditioning is not working as at some point in its stored life the ac was switched on while being warmed up and the compressor clutch was lightly stuck and the clutch end plate went bad. The compressor still turns freely too. Not a big deal and I have a new in the box, AC Delco clutch end plate to go with it. It will need put on and the ac recharged and a new belt installed. I found the original General Motors AC belt that was cut off under the seat and it appears brand new except for the cut of course. I have too many projects I want to finish while my health is still good so sadly I have decided I must part with this to finance my other restorations. I would be happy and honest with anyone who wants to discuss this truck on the phone or emails. I can even arrange some veiwing of this if coming to central Nebraska as I am about 4 miles off Interstate 80. This not not a restored truck or even a well driven original needing restoring. It is Barrett Jackson quality survivor show piece and a true 10,912 mile original.
