This is a 1971 MGB that has had work started to convert it to a Speedster concept car.....minimum weight and maximun fun. When we got the car the floors and trunk pan had been replaced. We proceeded to replace the outer rockers (inner, middle and castle sections are fine). Also replaced the quarter panels. This is rust free bodyshell....only some surface rust from sitting for several years. The only bondo is at the rear where the fuel filler hose hole is located. The modifications to the body shell are as follows: Anther turtledeck was gratfed onto this car to enclose the cockpit further (see photos). The surround was intended to continue on the top of the doors to go forward to the dash. There were not to be any side glass or vent windows. The dash shroud panel was changed to utilize a metal dash from an early MGB. In the engine bay, the hood mounts were relocated forward, so the hood would open from the back. Since this car would not have a heater, that opening was closed up. The front and back suspension is stock. What comes with this car is the following: rolling bodyshell, front fenders, hood, doors,trunk lid and Speedster windscreen. I also have other parts such as seat frames, pedal box, master cylinders, that if needed I can supply. Do have a 4 cylinder MGB engine and or a Rover V8 (intended engine) that are available if desired. Engines do not come with the car. am enclosing a photo of the MGB that inspired this project.
