Up for auction is a beautiful 1968 Pontiac Firebird with a 400 and a 4 speed!! She has 3:55 gears, and a POSI in the rear end. This is a RUST free car, and doesn't show any signs of ever being in a accident!! The car looks great, and drives even better! The car was just painted a year ago so she very minor blemishes, she has a new steering box, fresh front end alignment, new brakes, and tons of other new stuff. The motor runs excellent, no smoking, no knocking, and no drips!! The motor has less than 5000 miles since the rebuild also. The trans is a close ratio 4 speed that works perfect, and was gone through at the same time the motor was rebuilt. There is no rust on the car at all, but there was a small repair in the lower right fender when she was painted. This car is rock solid, and will make you smile everytime you drive the car!! THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THE CAR AS IT SELL ITSELF!! ENGINE/ TRANSMISSION: The engine is a rebuilt 400 with a Edelbrock intake and the Quadrajet carb on top. The engine is a turn key car, that doesn't leak a drop of fluid. Under the hood the Alternator is new, and is chrome as you can see, new steering box, new fuel pump, new radiator, chrome valve covers, and a great running engine! The car has a new water pump, new power steering pump to go with everything else. The car also has Electronic ignition, and a electric choke on the carb too.The car has dual exhaust that comes out just behind the rear wheels and looks sweet. The inner fenders are beautiful, and the car shows no signs of ever being in a accident at all! The car drives awesome down the road, she stops straight, is aligned straight, and the front end is fairly new, which makes her drive like a dream! The transmission is a Saginaw 4 speed transmission that shifts perfect, and has a Hurst shifter to top her off. The trans has a close ratio shift pattern, and the synchros are in great shape! The transmission has close to 5,000 miles on her also, as she was gone through when the motor was rebuilt. EXTERIOR/ INTERIOR: The exterior was repainted about a year ago and still shows very well. This car being a daily driver does has a few small blemishes from around town. The chrome is in very good shape outside on the car, and the body lines are very straight! The rims and tires are brand new on the car also as you can see in the pictures. The glass is very good all the way around the car also. THIS IS A RUST FREE car that has beautiful floorpans, inner fenders, framerails, and trunk. The interior is in pretty good shape overall for being the original interior that came with the car in 68!! The drivers seat has a couple small tears, but the passenger seat is in good shape. The rear seats are in very good shape overall! The headliner is in good shape with no rips or tears in it. The passenger door panel is showing wear at the top where you rest you arm, as some of the material has worn away. The rest of the door panel looks great though. The drivers door panel is in good shape overall but, there is a small hole in the carpet at the bottom of the door panel. The dash has a cap on there that looks fine, and the steering wheel is a Grant GT wheel. The gauges all work, and the oil light and the temp light both work just fine. The blinkers and lights all work just fine also. The CD player is hooked up and works well also. The windows all roll up and down correctly in the car. INFO: The car is a very, very nice daily driver type car. The car is NOT perfect, but it’s 42 years old also. Please know this before bidding.
