This will be the last time I will relist this car on Ebay. I dropped the price twice on this car from $1499 to $1299 and will not drop anymore. There was 11 watchers on the car and not one bid. Generally, with that many watchers there would be some interest and some bidding. A dealer stated to me that if I don't sell the vehicle on Ebay, he will buy it from me for $1300 because of the condition it is in. Other than the bodywork that is needed, the car is excellent condition. The choice is yours. Thank you. 1980 Lincoln Continental car - 351 V8 engine - Electronic Fuel Injection systems- 30 years old - 39,782 shown miles above the speedometer with the following Positive remarks on the vehicle: *Comes with the original manual (as seen in the picture) *Excellent engine, oil and filter changes every 3,000 miles with Fuel injection or every 6 months - runs very smooth - put in fuel injection cleaner every two tanks load *AM/FM radio with cassette - plays well in excellent condition *40 channel CB - excellent condition - transmit and receives *Power chairs - front only - performs well in excellent condition *Cruise control - performs well in excellent condition *Power antenna - goes up and down with no problem - small repair done a top of the antenna itself - but it function that is what in important *Excellent tires and transmission including spare tire in trunk (only 30,000 miles on the tires *Clean interior - excellent condition with two tone blue on the outside and navy blue on the inside *Popup trunk with button in the glove compartment - excellent condition *All windows perform well in going up and down in excellent condition and also the power door locks also performs well in locking and unlocking *Air condition works very well but needs to be refill each year - easy to do - unless new owner would rather have it rebuilt - but I don't think is necessary Here's the negative on the car: *Has some rust spot here and there, not really big spots, but distracting on the outside in a few places - my personal opinion, if I had the money, I would have the vehicle total done over including taking care of the rust spots - approx. $3,000 *Top of the Lincoln half that shows the vinyl top should be replace or refinish *Muffler system should be replace - I learn something from storing cars during the winter - water build ups in the pipe and eventually rust through. So, muffler and pipes needs to be replace - price we pay for collecting cars PERSONAL HISTORY: I original purchase the car from a friend who had it for 2 months. He was planning for his teenager daughter to drive it. As a typical teen, the car wasn't for her. I saw it and purchase the car from him, who purchase it from a Senior couple who had the car in the garage all their life. As a 3rd owner of the car, it has been with me for the last 7 years and overall runs with no major problem - might consider to be in excellent condition. I personally put on 30,000 miles over the last 7 years. According to NADA Guides for Antique Collectible cars, based on the car condition, it will fall between a low Retail of $1,639 to the Average Retail value of $4,571. If the car was totally refinished, somewhere between $9,000 to $14,000.
