The car currently has 84,056 miles on it. It was removed from service in Apr 2010 as a part of our normal vehicle replacement cycle. The vehicle was serviced on a 60-day preventive maintenance schedule. The tires have approximately 70-80% tread remaining and the vehicle runs well. The spare tire has approximately 30% tread remaining. The exterior is in fair condition. The front license plate frame is cracked. The driver’s side front fender has 6 spots where the paint was chipped and touch up paint was applied. The driver’s door ahs some light scratches, a few dings, and 6-7 black spots that appear to be road tar or other similar material. The driver’s door molding has multiple dings & scrapes. The driver’s side rear door has a few light scratches & approximately 2-3 black spots that appear to be road tar or other similar material. The driver’s side rear door molding has multiple dings & scrapes. The roof has 3 plugged & sealed holes from where the light bar power cable and some radio antennas were previously mounted. The driver’s side rear wheel well has paint chipping around it. The trunk lid has 1 plugged & sealed hole from where an antenna was previously mounted along with 1 small paint chip and 1 larger area where the paint is peeling. The rear bumper has some minor scrapes & scratches. The passenger side rear fender has light scratches present. The passenger side rear door also has light scratches present. The passenger side rear door molding has multiple dings & scrapes. The passenger front door has some minor small dings and the door molding has multiple dings & scrapes. The interior is in fair condition. The driver’s seat has a large tear in it. There are 2 small screws in the driver’s door armrest. There is one small screw hole on the dash to the left of the climate controls. There is also an approximately dime size indentation on the dash immediately above the radio. There are multiple light & minor pen marks and 1 small (less than 1” tear) in the headliner. There are 3 small screw holes in the center of the floorboard between the front bucket seats where the center console previously was mounted. Some repairs that have been completed on this vehicle include the following. In Jan 2010, at 80,770 miles, the rear tires were replaced. In Oct 2009, at 79,081 miles, the battery was replaced. Also in Oct 2009, at 79,122 miles, the vehicle was repaired at a local auto body repair facility due to having minor accident damage on the right front quarter panel & door. Once repaired, the vehicle was returned to active service. In Sep 2009, at 78,394 miles, the battery was tested & charged. In Aug 2009, at 76,954 miles, the passenger side headlight bulb and spot light bulb were replaced. In July 2009, at 75,591 miles, the rear brake pads, rear rotors, and belt tensioner were replaced. Also, the rear brake calipers were flushed. In May 2009, at 72,765 miles, the front tires were replace and the vehicle had an alignment performed. In Jan 2009,a t 67,105 miles, the left headlamp and turn signal switch assembly were replaced. Also, the center dome light was reinstalled. In Dec 2008, at 66,224 miles, the driver’s door window switch assembly was replaced. In Nov 2008, at 65,167 miles, the battery and water pump were replaced. In Oct 2008, at 63,863 miles, the right rear tire was replaced. In July 2008, at 59,794 miles, the catalytic converter assembly and gaskets were replaced. In May 2008, at 57,524 miles, the check engine light was illuminated and the vehicle was checked with a scan tool with no issues found. In Apr 2008, at 56,338 miles, the spark plugs, spark plug boots and the #2 cylinder ignition coil were replaced. In Mar 2008, at 54,908 miles, the spot light was repaired. In Jan 2007, at 30,286 miles, the front brake pads and front rotors were replaced. Also, the front brake calipers were flushed. In Nov 2006, at 27,713 miles, the turn signal flash back module was replaced. In Nov 2006, at 27,558 miles, the left front tire was replaced. Also in Nov 2006, at 27,277 miles, the right front tire was replaced. In May 2006, at 16,909 miles, the fuel sender assembly was replaced under warranty at the local Ford dealer. Also in May 2006, at 16,832 miles, the left turn signal bulb and rear tires were replaced. In Apr 2006, at 16,831 miles, the vehicle was repaired at a local auto body repair facility due to having accident damage and returned to service after the repair was completed. In Jan 2006, at 10,260 miles, the front brake pads & rotors were replaced. This vehicle can be viewed between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays, at the City of Champaign Public Works Department, 702 Edgebrook Drive, Champaign, Illinois. The vehicle must be picked up between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday at the same location. The City of Champaign is required to sell all vehicles through an auction process.
