Vehicle Detail
Hi, It has been my privilege and good fortune to own this car ! It takes a while----in my case a long while -- to realize there is a big difference between enjoying a car because of its looks--- like a 66 Corvette I had ---and the driving experience of a car.....say this one. If it has to be explained--- its a waste of time. By far, this is the most fun, best handling ,vintage car I have ever owned. During my ownership the car has been driven daily except when its raining or I think it will rain. The car has been serviced at a Porsche shop in Orlando, and other than the wipers-- everything works. Purists will hate the body kit--- it was added in the mid 80's........ but I liked it and have kept it as found. The color is 13-- Bahia Red--- and the interior is black. The seat inserts are a tweed pattern.... cloth instead of vinyl due to sweating in Florida.I have the original steering wheel. The engine is original as is the transmission. Both perform as expected. The headlights work, and the radio does also. The little passenger foot rest remains. The tool kit is gone. The car is in driver condition and has not been restored. The " hell hole" is clean. The car sold new in California and stayed in the same family for 32 years. I have shown the car many times in non judged events----- and for the most part--nobody knows what it is-- must less a /6 . I have the car registered in the /6 registry---I think around 440 were made in 1971------tho I suspect they were left over 70's ....... My only concern is transport if not local. The front valence is very low and will scrape or worse on an 18 wheeler.Even on a flat bed - 2x4s are needed to lower the angle. Foreign bids are welcome--I have sold a couple old Volvo 1800's to Europe. Wire transfer would be payment method. I will not accept a zero feedback bidder.I can be reached at 1-321-six-three-one- 5599 EST before 10PM for any questions or comments. My second child is starting college and these funds are needed to help her. Thank you ! On May-03-10 at 11:05:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Add'l requested pics::
