Vehicle Detail

1956 Golden Hawk with 352 Packard engine and Ultra-Matic Transmission. 83,000 miles. Produced in South Bend Indiana. Body #: 56J-JK7-3247. Engine #: S2920 (352 cu.in. Packard.) S-Ultra-Matic transmission. I have owned and garaged the car for seven years. I bought it from a seller in Windsor, CA. He had it for four years garaged but made no restorations. He bought it from a seller in Penngrove, CA (not sure how long he owned it.) He started some restorations by painting it first (!!) and stopped. As shown in the pictures there appears to be some bubbles (rust?) on the quarter panels. I have recently replaced battery, replaced existing electric fuel pump with a higher quality pump with regulator and return line to fuel tank. I rebuilt the distributor and performed a minor tune up. I also rebuilt the carburetor, master cylinder and two front wheel cylinders. (In order to sell it I figured it should run and stop.) The transmission goes into drive and reverse gears fine, but I've only driven it on my property and not on the road. All the glass is in good condition, except the wing windows have some lamination bubbles and driver's wing has a small 2 inch crack. All the chrome parts and stainless trim are in the trunk, hood scoop chrome OK but pitted. Stainless all in good condition with a couple minor dents. It appears to have a newer original dual exhaust system. The items I do not see in the trunk are the tachometer sending unit and Studebaker emblem for the front grill. There is a hole in the driver side floorboard which someone has repaired with sheet metal, and I do see one hole in the trunk area. As you can see from the attached pictures the vehicle will need restoration work. This car runs very smooth and nothing sounds better than standing at the back and hearing the dual exhaust and Packard engine. Email for aaditional info.
