Vehicle Detail
I have for sale my 1966 Ford Fairlane GT. This is a factory A/C car. There are not many GT cars that came with air conditioning. I know of only 3 in all of the searching I've done on them. I've owned this car for several years. I have collected many parts for this car and feel like I have a fairly good start on finding all of the things this car needed to be complete. The car is very solid structurally. It does need floor pans in the front floors and some patches in the back floor area. The trunk is very solid with no rust. The rockers, frame and rails are all very nice. The body is pretty strait. You can see where body work was done in the past. All of the previous body work seems to be very thin bondo that is cracked now. The car has not been wrecked or modified in any way, quarters have not been replaced. All of the wiring is in tact and does not look to have been tampered with. At the end of this add I have included a link to many pictures of this car and the parts that I have collected for it. The rebuilt engine that you will see is a 428 with rebuilt heads and a S intake, the transmission is correctly coded for this car, the shifter was professionally rebuilt, there are console parts, linkages, bucket seats (x3), an original Teal colored GT grill and a lot more. I had parted out a parts car so there are extra doors with very good guts and extra rear window units with glass along with many other parts from the parts car. You will just have to go through all of the pictures to see what all I have accumulated for this car. Everything pictured in the link goes in this auction with this car. So look closely at the pictures, ask for any additional items you might want pictured and ask any questions you may have about this car (I will not make questions public or part of this add). Some have asked why my feedback rating is zero percent currently. Positive/negitive feedback is based on the past 12 months, I have not bought or sold anything in the last 12 months. Please read through my feedback if this concerns you. 5-4-2010, I went through the pictures of the car on photobucket to come up with a list what items come with this car. Which is everything pictured in the photobucket album. This list is in the order that this stuff is shown in the link. One hood from a parts car, its in decent shape, its non gt. One fender from the parts car, its in fair condition, its non gt. The front armrests that were pictured attached to the door panels were restored and are pictured packaged in plastic. One set of used tail light assemblies complete and in very good restorable condition. One 4 speed console shift plate. One reproduction antenna assembly. One C6AE 6380B B Flywheel, reconditioned, has a little surface rust in one area but its in excellent condition. One new clutch plate. Two used consoles, one for parts the other one is decent. One original unrestored GT Grill. One used lower grill horizontal bar in decent condition. Two complete rear window assemblies in excellent condition, out of a low miles parts car. The ones in the car may be this good, I don’t know. I just kept this stuff out of the parts car since it was nice. Two extra doors from the parts car. They are really in good shape and are pretty strait. The window assemblies are real nice and one has a remote mirror that is in decent shape. One C6AE 428 rebuilt block with a set of C6AE-R heads and a S code 390 intake. One cross-member. The rusty 69 R Code 4 Speed Cougar pictured does not go in this auction, it will be sold separately. It is 100% original and was built in August of 1968, first one built that year, hardtop that is. One extra 66 back glass. One new clutch fork. One 1966 distributor, C6OF. One Z bar. One oil filter adapter. One set of rocker arms. One complete set of motor mounts. One starter relay. One complete and restored 66 Fairlane shifter with linkage. Two different types of Z bar adapter plates, not sure which would be correct. One four speed hump. One complete set of adjustable rockers for two heads. Two correctly coded carbs. One restorable and one for parts. One clutch fan. Two NOS GT Fender badges. A console compartment door. Two unfinished back up light bezels. One pair of 390 grill inserts that are in fair condition only. One C60A 6394-D Bell housing. One dust cover. One clutch fork. One throw out bearing. One complete set of air conditioning dash parts from a parts car. (Just in case something is broken or missing in this car). One transmission correctly coded for a 390 gt, 4 speed car. Its a 66 top loader with HCH code or something like that, its been a while and I didn't want to unpack. One set of 66 Fairlane bucket seats. Both have a fabric sewn into them, but they are complete and ready for new seat covers. The original rear seats out of this car, which are in good shape and not torn, just dirty. I took them out to show the floors. Another set of used front and rear light bezels also in great condition. Two under dash air conditioning units for parts. One extra grill, non gt in decent condition. One extra cowl cover One extra dash insert. All of the original headliner bars are still with the car. One original bucket seat. A pile of extra parts that I took off of the parts car like horns, a/c condenser, jack assembly, etc. A set of hood hinges and some cowl vents. There is also an extra set of rear window trim thats not pictured. I think that is a complete list of what goes with the car. It should all fit in the car for shipping concerns. http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f26/ccarney69/66%20Fairlane%20GT/ http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f26/ccarney69/66%20Fairlane%20GT/
