For your consideration, on offer today is a very nice 1970 Porsche 911T which we are pleased to offer on behalf of a client. This 911 is finished in Bahia Red over a Black interior and is in nice condition throughout with a very comprehensive service history from Porsche specialists. This automobile started life in Santa Cruz, California and spent the first part of its life there until it was sent to Indianapolis, Indiana in the mid-1980s. It was serviced by Pacific Coast Porsche Works and then exclusively by Farmers in Indiana. All of the maintenance records are bound and indicate regular servicing right up to a complete engine overhaul. The vehicle was stripped and refinished in the ‘90s in the original color, and it continues to show well. The interior is clean and in nice condition, with one small split noted on the outer bolster of the driver’s seat. The body is very solid throughout with excellent rockers and doors. The passenger’s side floorpan has been replaced at some point in the car’s life, however a factory panel was used and the work looks to have been executed properly. It runs and drives very well, and was serviced upon removal from its winter storage a month ago. The car is shod with the optional “Comfort Package” 14” Fuchs wheels which have brand new Vredestein Sprint Classic tires at all four corners. All of the electrical equipment is in proper working condition, the clutch feels fine with strong take-up and no chattering, the gearbox grabs each ratio cleanly with no synchro noise or grinding and the brakes haul the car down evenly and with plenty of force. Present mileage on the car is 136,853. Please note, we are not a Porsche specialist, we are a Mercedes-Benz shop, and therefore would urge potential buyers to come and inspect the car in person or, alternatively, have a PPI performed on the car by a shop who knows old 911s more intimately. We have serviced several 911s throughout the years, but as with any type of car, they have their specific intricacies, so please keep that in mind if you’re interested in this vehicle. It is our opinion that this car is in fine condition for a driver, as the fundamentals seem to be strong.
