Vehicle Detail
This Suburban is in great condition for the age and miles. It runs and drives as well as any you could find. We bought the car about two years ago, to haul teenagers around when we were helping with youth group. It served us very well in that capacity, but we don't do much of that sort of thing anymore. I feel pretty silly driving around by myself in it! I do love the hauling space, though. I have loaded an entire bedroom suite in there before, and even more than that when some friends and I went to a city wide garage sale near Memphis. Looked kind of like the Beverly Hillbillies. My husband even used it as a work truck for a while when he was in between trucks. You'll never get a ride that smooth in a real truck, as he's mentioned quite a few times since buying his new pick-up. If you're looking for a solid car for a low price, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better one. We have the owner's manual, 2 key fobs and about 4 keys. Now to the negative: My husband backed it into my son-in-law's truck last year when they were leaving pre-dawn to go duck hunting. I took a close up picture of the scuffed up area. It is at the very back of the passenger side. Also pictured is the driver's seat, which has a little tearing of the leather. It's at the very edge, so you don't feel it when you sit there, and we've never tried to fix it, so I don't know how hard it would be. Also, a while back the alternator went out and when it did, the brake light and ABS light came on and it's been on and off ever since. We've had it checked out by a couple of different people and they say there's nothing wrong with it and it's OK to drive it like that. I think it's because the alternators they sell aren't as heavy duty as the originals, and my husband even went and bought the biggest heavy duty one he could find to see if that would cure it. It did for a little while, and like I said, it isn't always on, but I just wanted to be completely up front. I have sold 4 other vehicles on e-bay over the last few years and you can check my feedback. The buyers were happy. Also the car fax shows 2 accidents, before we owned it. The rear door on the passenger side is a little darker color, but it isn't really noticable. When we were test driving it, I found the previous owner's number on something in the glove box and we called her. She said she loved the car and had traded it on an econo-box for gas mileage. She hated the new car and asked what dealer had the car. She said she was going to try to buy it back if we didn't buy it. Of course, we did. The front tires were new in December/09 and the back ones were new in the spring/09. It got a new fuel filter and fuel pump in March of this year. We have always kept up with the maintenance and oil changes. My reserve is a low $3999.00. If you're in the Bartlesville, OK area, I'd be glad for you to come and look at it, and if you're in Tulsa, I can meet you somewhere if you'll let me know in advance. If you use the buy-it-now, it will require a $500 paypal deposit and if not I will need a $500 paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction close, unless you will be picking it up within 48 hours, in which case I will accept cash for the whole amount. If you want to ship it, I think there's a DAS in Tulsa and I could drive it over there for $35 gas money. Shipping, of course, would be your expense. I would also pick someone up at the Tulsa airport for the same deal. Call me to talk about other delivery options if you live nearby. I will work it out if I can. By the way, this car is still being driven so the mileage may be a little more and this car is for sale locally, so if it sells here the auction will be cancelled. Thanks for looking. If you have any questions feel free to call my husband, Eric at (870) 317-7311 or me, Susan at (870) 317-6934 (yes these are Arkansas cell #s that we never got changed when we moved back to Oklahoma).
