For sale at no reserve, "very rare" 1947 Crosley Convertible. I am selling this vehicle for a friend. This vehicle has been restored to the highest standards and needs nothing that I know of. The owner is 84 years old and says it time to let someone else enjoy it for years to come. The only things that keep it from total restored orignal is the following up-grades. Hydraulic brakes have been up-dated using later Crosley hydraulic parts. (stops good) New radial tires, tasteful black carpet replaces orignal rubber mat. Some real neet little mirrors have been added to the top of the doors. And last, the addition of duel 1950 Pontiac tail lights. The tail lights look like they belong on the car, but if you are a "purest" you might want to go back original. Within the last year the body was stripped to metal and a new base coat cleat coat green metallic finish professionally sprayed. Also the brakes were gone through, and the gas tank was cleaned and boiled. The body is nearly flawless, interior looks to be perfect, and the top shows no wear or tares. New items include, correct wiring harness, hub caps, gauges (all working to perfection), bumpers appear to be near perfect, new grill, new glass, with new seals and sliders, door handles and all stainless appear as new condition. The car starts with the first push of the button. It shows good oil pressure, charging rate, charging voltage, and gas gauge works. All body panels have a great fit. I placed a couple of pictures of the spare tire on this add, it is a Firestone Silvertown, 450-12 and still has the orignal nipples as new. This little Crosley draws attention everywhere they go. They are perfect for local car shows, or tow them to the big shows, un-load and drive around town and show area. This vehicle is being offered at no reserve with an opening low bid that would not pay for one half of the restoration. Please don't play games on this auction, if you don't have the money or even know what a Crosley is, please don't bid. Not trying to be cute, but if you have one better and cheaper we will buy yours.
