Up for Auction is this 1962 Corvette Convertible. I am selling this for a friend of mine, and we will try to describe it best we can. Please keep in mind we are not Corvette experts but will try to answer any and all questions honestly. The car was last on the road in 1979 and has been in storage ever since. It has a 283 c.i. engine, block casting #3789935, from what we can tell, 1961. Transmission T-10-1C, # 3782212. Intake manifold # 3783244. The original color is fawn beige, with fawn interior. The car is complete with the exception of no hubcaps. The convertible top frame is cracked where it is mounted to the body. The trim, glove box, kick panels are there, along with emblems and a new exhaust system that was never installed. It's a good solid car in need of restoration. We believe all is original except the engine.The car is located just outside of Buffalo, NY. A $1000 deposit will be due within 3 days of auction close (pay-pal) and the remaining balance to be paid before the car is moved.
