Vehicle Detail

1979 Camaro RS, runs great! Needs some body/paint work, but is overall a solid car - would make a great project car for someone who has the time. Drives like a dream, handles beautifully!! I bought this car back in 2004 with the intention of turning it into a daily driver, but have since moved on to another project. I have the original build ticket from the factory, although not all of the information is accurate, since various owners have done work to the car over the years. However, this does give you an idea of what parts really are original to the car. Some factory installed add-ons include sport mirrors, rear spoiler, windshield antenna. Before the car came to me, a new drive train and new engine (350) were installed. The previous owner used the car for circle track racing, so this car really drives like a dream! The factory AC was removed to accommodate new headers, but I replaced those headers in '05. A ratcheted shifter was also added, and new carpeting was installed. The interior is otherwise original, and in good condition. I have receipts for all repairs made since '04 which include: - New transmission line - New fuel line - Fixed a variety of botched electrical work, and installed a new wiper motor. - New stereo (AM/FM Stereo, CD, and Cassette player) - New rear speakers. - Redid the exhaust to make it street legal for MA. - New headers. - New starter. I never got around to doing any body work on the car since I wanted to focus on having it run as well as possible. As is typical with cars from this era, there is crazing in the tail lights and on the front bumper. The rear bumper is cracked, and a crack just showed up in the dashboard. Some bondo on the passenger side rear, and some rust on the body. A piece of the chrome trim around the windshield is missing. No major problems, and nothing a Year One catalog and a paint job couldn't fix in a weekend or two! I am selling the car AS IS. Pick-up only. Buyer is responsible for all transportation/freight costs.
