You are bidding on a unique 1964 Pontiac Bonneville convertible, with the beautiful and unusual factory Sunfire Red and White top, PHS documented with the rare 263 trim code, which is the factory maroon leather interior not vinyl. The work is done in a “semi-professional” shop using only the best available resources from around the country. This is not a “back yard” hobbyist project. The only drawback to this car is that it is a “non #’s” matching car and it is a restoration in progress, meaning that the winning bidder will have to finish the restoration. This car has most of the parts needed to finish the project. Items that are needed to finish the restoration are the interior upholstery work, vinyl top installation, and RH rock placement. Most of the chrome has been done – still needs bumpers and rockers to be chromed. Needs very little to be finished. This is a rolling frame and can not be driven or powered on it’s own in its current state. The engine has been completely rebuilt, including a .030 over bore to true cylinders. The TH 400 has also been completely rebuilt. Mechanically this car is brand new. Basically all mechanical parts have been replaced with new parts, including wheel bearings and seals, brake cylinders – master and wheel. Rear differential rebuilt. All stainless steel brake lines and fuel lines installed. Close to $22,000 has already been invested in this project. ALL RECEIPTS have been kept and available. Once complete this is a $43,000 car.
