Vehicle Detail
This 1963 Ford Falcon convertible is not a show car. It is a FUN car. I want to make it clear, this car runs, drives, and even looks great but it is a driver. This little cutie is just perfect for those who like nostalgia and love to go topless! This car has had a series of repairs done to it through the past right up to now. To start, The 6 cylinder is a 1965 200CID engine that runs as smooth as can be. Not sure of the actual mileage. It has recently had new plugs, points, condenser, rotor, cap, wires, valve cover gasket, radiator flush with new coolant, and a carb overhaul. This engine has the dependable manual choke…No guessing here. A new heater core was also installed at this time as was a new coolant temp and oil pressure senders. A new heater switch/cable assembly, heater box, and defrost hoses were also replaced. Heater blows on both speeds. The starter has been replaced approx. a year ago, along with a generator rebuild and new regulator. The engine is backed up with a 2 speed automatic transmission which has just been serviced, new shift modulator installed along with new solid steel coolant lines. It shifts just fine! Front and rear u-joints just replaced along with all 4 new Monroe shock absorbers. The front end has had ball joints reolaced as well as more recent strut bushings installed. Brake linings and wheel cylinders with new rubber flex lines front and rear install within the last year or so. A new Master cylinder was installed 6 months ago. As I said, she does run great! Six months ago a brand new complete wiring harness with fuse block was professionally installed. Carpet, seat upholstery, and door panels were replaced within the past 2 years. Wood steering wheel, Am/Fm radio with mp3 adapter/usb port, 200watt amp included. Control knobs are all of billet aluminum. Tires are relatively new with a lot of tread on them. Now, the top is not torn or frayed but is in need of replacing along with the back plastic window which has pulled loose from the top. The electric top does go up and down OK. The body is not perfect and has been repaired in usual places such as rear area behind rear wheels. Some attention was given at one time or another to the floor pans. Looks like the rear area had some replacement done. I tried to get a pic of this. Other areas show some repairs were done as I can tell. These were done before I purchased the car. There is a ding on the hood and some paint on the trunk needs attention (see pic). The bumpers have been rechromed at one time. The car comes with manuals and documentation of repairs from the previous owner from Florida. I have tried to provide a clear and accurate description of this vehicle but please ask questions. I will answer as quickly as I can. This vehicle is being sold “as is” and is offered locally. I reserve the right to cancel this auction early if sold locally.
