Vehicle Detail
0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false This is a NO reserve auction where the highest bidder wins my 1997 Porsche 911 (993) C4 6-Speed Cabriolet. My well-loved 1997 C4 Cab has 111k miles. The car originated in Texas with an in-service date of 3/29/97. The car then made it’s way to Colorado for owner #2 and #3. I purchased the car from owner #3 in Denver. There are no accidents and the C4 scores a 95 on autocheck. The car has not had any paintwork and I have no doubt you could drive this car another 110k miles without any problems. I’m selling the car because I simply don’t drive it. I have a GT3 and a BMW 135i, so this car hasn’t moved much in the past 6 months. The car has undergone a recent major service on 7/29/2009 at Poudre Sports Car in Fort Collins, CO, that included: New German canvas convertible top and headliner installed All filters replaced (oil, air, fuel, cabin)All belts replaced (alternator, distributor, etc)New spark plug wires ($700, ouch)Belt tension sensor replacedValve cover gaskets replacedSecondary air injection ports cleanedReplace SAI check valveReplace Air inject check valveBrakes flushed (super blue added) and clutch fluid replaced The car has a couple of electrical gremlins – the dash lights don’t work right now (I believe the bulbs need to be replaced, just haven’t got around to it), the driver’s seat power forward and back can be a bit tricky, and the convertible top could use another adjustment – not uncommon with a new top – but I’m hoping to have that complete before the car is sold. A couple of the speaker covers are cracked. As there has been no paintwork, the car does have rock chips and blemishes on the bumper consistent with the mileage and age. However, the car is beautiful and gets thumbs up and pictures taken whenever I have it out.
