The car currently has 91,894 miles on it. It was removed from service in Apr 2010 as a part of our normal vehicle replacement cycle. The vehicle was serviced on a 60-day preventive maintenance schedule. The tires have approximately 60% tread remaining and the vehicle runs well. The exterior is in fair condition. There are 4 paint chips & numerous light scratches on the hood. The paint on the front bumper has peeled in multiple areas. The driver’s side front fender has 1 paint chip & multiple light scratches. The driver’s door molding has multiple scrapes. The passenger side rear door has multiple scratches on the top edge and scrapes on the door molding. The roof has 4 plugged & sealed holes where some antenna’s and the light bar power cable were located. Also, there’s 1 large scratch in the middle of the roof and on both roof edges where the light bar was mounted. The driver’s side rear quarter panel had 4 small areas where paint has chipped & where scratches are present. The trunk lid has 1 plugged & sealed hole from where an antenna was previously mounted & multiple light scratches. The rear bumper has some light scratches. The passenger side rear quarter panel has 1 paint chip & some light scratches. The passenger front and rear door has multiple light scratches & scrapes on the door molding. The interior is in fair condition. There are 2 screws in the driver’s door armrest. There are multiple spots in the headliner where there is discoloration, stains, or pen marks. There are 5 screw holes in the center floorboard between the seats from where a console was previously mounted. There is 1 screw hole to the left of the climate controls and 1 screw hole to the right of the climate controls on the dash. The latch for the passenger sun visor is broken. There are two (2) small tears in the bottom center of the rear of both front seat back cushions. Some repairs that have been completed on this vehicle include the following. In Dec 2009, at 89,407 miles, the rear window had to be repaired due to criminal damage. Also in Dec 2009, at 89,405 miles, the vehicle had an alignment performed. In Oct 2009, at 88,364 miles, the right front wheel bearing and hub assembly were replaced. In Aug 2009, at 86,807 miles, the check engine light was on, vehicle checked over with no problems found, and the codes were cleared. Also, all the front brake pads, front brake rotors and four (4) tires were replaced. In Apr 2009, at 82,652 miles, the driver’s door handle latch rod was repaired. Also in Apr 2009, at 82,345 miles, the mic holder bracket was replaced. In Mar 2009, at 82,070 miles, the driver’s door was repaired at a local auto body repair facility due to having damage from a minor accident. In Feb 2009, at 80,816 miles, the right side inner & outer tie rot ends, right rack & pinion boot, and spot light handle were replaced. Also, the vehicle had an alignment performed. In Dec 2008, at 77,284 miles, the door locks were lubricated, the door lock wiring harness repaired and the left front tire & rim were replaced. Also in Nov 2007, at 51,984 miles, the driver’s door window switch was replaced. In Oct 2007, at 51,169 miles, the battery, all four tires, front brake pads and front brake rotors were replaced. Also in Oct 2007, at 50,192 miles, the spot light bulb was replaced. In Aug 2007, at 46,542 miles, the light control module was replaced. In July 2007, at 46,145 miles, the spark plugs, spark plug boots and the left bank catalytic converter & gasket were replaced. In June 2007, at 44,067 miles, an axle saving bearing was installed in the rear axle and the rear brake pads and brake rotors were replaced. Also in June 2007, at 44,075 miles, the water pump was replaced. In Apr 2007, at 39,435 miles, the front brake pads were replaced. In Mar 2007, at 38,936 miles, the wiper blades and the fan motor assembly were replaced. In Feb 2007, at 37,111 miles, the rear tires and the ABS warning lamp assembly were replaced. In Oct 2006, at 27,339 miles, the license plate light bulb, front tires and front & rear brake pads were replaced. Also, the front & rear brake rotors were reconditioned and the brake system flushed. In Sep 2006, at 23,952 miles, the upper control arms and the left & right lateral suspension arms were replaced. Also, in Aug 2006, at 23,951 miles, the right side tire and rim were replaced. In June 2006, at 17,439 miles, the rear tires were replaced. In May 2006,a t 16,673 miles, the right front fender was repaired at a local auto body repair facility after a minor accident. In Mar 2006, at 12,572 miles, the vehicle had the throttle position sensor and the fuel sensor replaced under warranty at the local Ford dealer. In Feb 2006, at 11,175 miles, the rear brake pad and rotors were replaced under warranty at the local Ford dealer due to premature wear. This vehicle can be viewed between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays, at the City of Champaign Public Works Department, 702 Edgebrook Drive, Champaign, Illinois. The vehicle must be picked up between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday at the same location. The City of Champaign is required to sell all vehicles through an auction process.
