An Original 1974 Pontiac Trans AM. This car started it's life as a 4 speed car and somewhere along the way it is an Automatic now but the 4 speed pedals and shift porch and frame zbar bracket are still there. The original Pontiac 74 400ci and 4 speed tranny are long gone. It has an Original 1978 Pontiac 400ci WC code with 6X heads from a manual Trans am in it now with an auto trans with a slap stick shifter. I have not played around to get this 400ci motor started and running yet. It wears old school Mickey Thompson valve covers with a Holly Pontiac Street Dominator intake and a holly carb with headers. The cars body itself: The rear quaters and trunk floor are pretty bad with rusting metal. needs alot of work in my opinion! The doors also show signs of rusting and both rockers are shot. The nose of the car is in very good condition. Nice fenders! Good T/A hood! Taller shaker scoop. Nice front fenders! Both bumpers are there but will need work. Also very nice Original 15x7 HM code Ralley II rims!!The car from what my research comes up with was Originaly exterior code #29 which is Admiralty Blue with a Blue interior. The car was painted Red at one time and then white over the years. Yes!! This is a real 1974 Trans Am! 4 speed car that came from Pontiac with the 400ci WS4 in the data plate and the letter V is right were it supose to be in the Vin#. Make no mistake this car needs alot of work or use for your other Trans Am project parts that are needed! I do not have a title! The State of Connecticut does not require one for a car this old! The car will have a CT bill of sale only! No i will not pay $350 for a title search but you can if you need one. Car is located in CT 06037. I have listed this T/A in Local area papers and sites. On Apr-07-10 at 17:48:45 PDT, seller added the following information: As of April 7th I Did some work to get this T/A Fired up and running! Yes!! it now runs good! I had to run an external gas tank/Can and put in a new Fuel pump. I also cleaned the plugs and changed the oil and tighten the starter cable and altenator connection and it fires up on a dime and runs very nice! Good idle with no work done to the holley carb or adjustments. No lifter tickers and no smoke but the headers are rusted and have leaks at the collector. I also yard drove the T/A and the tranny shifts fine and the brakes work very well. I still would not try and drive a distance! I found some old paperwork/auto repair bills in the glove box about work having been done on the tranny and the front end and brakes back in 1997 when the car was last registered and on the Ct road! Also, it had passed emmissions testing then. Also while under the car I looked at the floor boards and yes the rear end portions of the car are real bad! It will take alot of work on this rear shell to get it up top par! Good luck! I have had alot of offers on ending this auction early with all types of payment ideas.
