Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a 1991 Buick Roadmaster Estate wagon. This is an EXCELLANT car that I bought on a whim late last year. It is one of 6,781 Estate wagons produced in 1991, built 5-29-91. I bought it from the second owner, who purchased it in 1993 with 23,000 miles on it. I am always changing cars and so this one is ready for a new home. I have cleaned and detailed it, as well as recently serviced it. Mechanically, this Roadmaster is in very good condition. Engine, transmission, brakes etc are all sound. It had a thorough tune-up the year before I bought it, as well as a water pump and battery. I have made two trips to Florida(the Keys, and Orlando) plus driving it daily and it has not given a moment's trouble.Since 12-26-09 I have accumulated over 16,000 miles. I installed a new set of tires at the beginning of February, as well as a new Flowmaster muffler and 2.5" tailpipe. Cosmetically, the wagon is in good shape. No rust. Glass including vista roof is excellant. This car was bumped in the left rear enough to necessitate repair to the lower quarter panel. This obviously happened quite a while ago, and so there is a spot where filler is cracking, and will need to be repaired again at some point in the future. The entire car was repainted at that time and the paint is still in good condition. No other evidence of accident damage. The interior is nice. It does show some wear to the carpet adjacent to the driver's foot. The front seat leather has also aged noticably, but boy are they comfortable. We drove straight through from Isalamorda Key to home, which took 14 hours. We only stopped for gas and once to eat, and so that sold me on what comfortable cars these are. I installed a AM/FM/CD unit, which works well. I also have the original radio. The owners manual is present, along with a factory GM service manual. The headliner is coming loose in a few places around the edges, but I will have that repaired before auction end. This is not a tow-pack car. However, I installed a new(and expensive) class III/IV receiver hitch, and also installed a flat-4 wiring harness for trailer lighting. At the same time I installed a large aftermarket transmission cooler, so this wagon should pull anything within reason. All in all, this is a great wagon. It is still in very good condition overall, and most of these cars are still on the road.It will make someone a nice multipurpose vehicle. I have also made a video tour of this Roadmaster at www.youtube.com/kjm1983 This is a no-reserve auction. Winning bidder is required to send a $250 deposit in the form of US Postal Money Order, no later than 7 days after auction end with pick-up within a reasonable timeframe. This wagon is located in scenic North Alabama and is ready to be driven to your destination. If you have any questions, please ask. Don't ask me to end the auction early, I do NOT do that. Good luck, and thanks for looking.
